🏎️🏁 At this year’s Aluminum Derby Race, students in DCC’s Precision Machining Technology Program put their skills to the test by designing, programming, and machining their own aluminum derby cars, turning months of training into a high‑speed capstone challenge. The BWXT Lynchburg Machine and Tool Shop team was on‑site to cheer them on, connect with emerging talent, and continue building a strong partnership with DCC. BWXT has supported the event since its first run, including creating the custom race track and this year’s championship plaques crafted by our own NOG‑L Tooling department. #ManufacturingTalent #PrecisionMachining #WorkforceDevelopment

Inspiring the next generation of welders starts with showing students what’s possible! 👩‍🏭 As part of the American Welding Society's annual recognition of welders and the vital role they play in shaping our world, BWXT employees engaged with over 250 students across the U.S. to help develop future talent to sustain and grow the core. Our teams highlighted real-world applications of welding in clean energy, national security and advanced manufacturing, helping students see how these essential skills support critical industries. Through hands-on demonstrations, interactive discussions and career‑pathway exploration, employees showcased the craftsmanship, precision and long-term opportunities within the skilled trades. #WeldingEducation #SkilledTrades

Last month, we wrapped up our third annual March into Reading book drive, and this year marked an exciting milestone. What began as a U.S.-based initiative expanded across our entire North American footprint, with three Commercial Operations sites joining in for the first time. With this broader reach, employees were encouraged to donate books, audiobooks, DVDs and puzzles for all ages, and they showed up in a big way! Throughout the month of March, employees contributed nearly 1,800 items, each one going directly back into the communities where we live and work. This year’s drive not only grew in size, but deepened our collective impact, reminding us how powerful we can be when we read, give and grow together. Collection efforts supported a range of community organizations, including: • Alexandrian Public Library (Indiana) • Barberton Public Library • Euclid Public Library • Jubilee Family Development Center • Oakville Public Library • Ottawa Public Library • Peterborough Public Library • Ronald McDonald House Southern Appalachia • YWCA of Central Virginia Thank you to everyone who helped make this our biggest and most meaningful book drive yet!
