Today feels incredibly personal in a way I don’t think I can fully put into words...
Today is my Uncle Fortil’s birthday. And it feels so special, and so emotional, to be sharing this moment on a day that means so much to me and my family.

This children's book was born in some of my most tender moments… in the quiet spaces where grief shows up, in the questions we don’t always have answers to, and in the kind of love that doesn’t fade, even when someone isn’t physically here.
My uncle meant so much to me. His presence, his love, and the memories we shared are something I carry with me every single day. And in many ways, this book is a reflection of that… a way of honoring him, while also creating something that can help children and families navigate emotions that can feel so big and so confusing.
This story also became something bigger than just me. Belina and I came together through a shared understanding of what it means to feel deeply and to hold space for emotions that are hard to explain. She didn’t just illustrate this book… she understood it. And the way she brought these feelings to life is something I’ll always be grateful for. 🤍
I wrote this for the little ones who are trying to understand feelings they can’t quite name yet. For the parents who want to support them, but don’t always know what to say. And for anyone who has ever loved deeply and is learning how to hold that love in a new way 🙌🏾
More than anything, I just hope I made him proud. I hope this story carries even a small piece of the love he gave so freely.
Today, my heart has one simple goal… to get 100 books into homes 🌸🏡📚

This is a small piece but one if my favorites. It depicts the beauty of every day life, the resilience of hard working people and the beautiful Haitian landscape. One of 8 new works in my current solo exhibition "Haiti Cherie" at Artist With A Purpose Gallery.

Hey fam! I’m excited to share another beautiful book project I had the joy of working on with author Leah R. Caldwell—our second collaboration together! The stunning cover art was created by Edison Liburd, and I had the honor of illustrating the interior.
This heartfelt poem speaks of how God knew and loved us—even from the womb—and also honors the love of our parents. It’s truly been a labor of love, and we hope it touches your heart as much as it did ours.
