Can’t believe our baby boy is 14 today!! 😳 And I think he is finally taller than me! 😭 If you know Carter you know he loves football and riding bikes, and he’s never been able to sit still! 🤣 But he has a big heart and we are proud of the young man he is becoming!! Love you bud!! 😘 Happiest Birthday!! 🥳
We’re coming up on our 6th month mark @vivid_roofs . We’ve been quietly working and building an amazing team! I’m feeling really grateful for the reviews that are starting to come in as we complete jobs. As I read through them there’s a lot of things in common with the reviews from my last business. Things like they treated me like family, they did everything they said they were going to do, no high pressure sales, they did a great job from start to finish, highly recommended! These reviews are a direct reflection of the values everyone on this team live by, not just at work but in their everyday lives. We believe in service, we believe in providing you with the facts, we believe in what’s best for you and your situation and not what’s best for our pockets. We do what we say and say what we do! We show up, we’re responsive and our estimates are very black and white. If you need a roof, roof repair, or an inspection give us a call and see the difference! #roofing #roof #roofreplacement #roofrepair
He had everything and then one decision later, he was homeless…
From the outside… it looked like success.
But it didn’t last.
Everything unraveled.
Divorced.
Homeless.
Living with his drug dealer.
“I knew I was going to die.”
This episode of the Rollercoaster Podcast is a story of losing everything — and finding the moment that turns it all around.
Dropping tomorrow. 🎢

We had 4 current students of @johnvolkenacademyaz and two graduates out on the ride with all of us today! I was going to write a whole post about how awesome she is, how grateful I am…..if you know her you already know she’s the BOMB 💣 HAPPY BIRTHDAY @brigithallwhite …
Today I’m incredibly grateful to watch the sunrise on my morning run…It’s been 18 years since I was homeless and addicted to drugs. I’m posting this for two reasons. One I’m grateful for gods grace in and on my life. The second reason is to reach and help those struggling with addiction. After I got clean I made a promise to myself to help people with addiction. I’ve been working on myself to get to a place where I felt I could do that. I’ve worked really hard to align my values with my actions and be the same person no matter what room I walk into. I’ll always have a long way to go, but I’m confident in the fact that I can start to live my purpose and help others get out of the deep hole of addiction. I am an all-or-nothing person like most addicts and when I dug my hole I dug it deep! I was a very successful drug addict, I really went all in. I completely lost everything including myself; It left me homeless and near dead. Today being an all-or-nothing person is what saved my life! When I applied my addictive personality to good things I was able to not only dig out of my own hole but also help others do the same. I’m here to tell you it’s never too late! Being an addict is our God given superpower! Use it for the right reasons🚀 #godsgrace #havefaith #lifebehindbars🚲🚲
Ephesians 2:8-9: “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and this is not your own doing; it is God’s gift—not the result of works, so that no one may boast”.
We both forgot about our anniversary the last two years…it’s not because we don’t love each other it’s because we’ve been busy loving each other! Happy 14 years babe! @brigithallwhite #rideordie
For many years I’ve wanted to do more to help young adults hooked on drugs. There’s a gap for addicts that go to rehab and then from rehab get “released” back in to the world and usually back into their old environment with no real outlet/reason to keep them clean. A lot of these young adults don’t have great examples around them when they go back into their old environment. They all want to stay clean but don’t know what that looks like after a controlled rehab environment. I hear them say I want to meet a nice person , I want to get a car, I want a good job, etc. but they haven’t been taught how to do these things, so some go back to old ways end up hooked on drugs and in jail or prison living life behind bars! I’ve had this idea for a long time to get a house where addicts can rent a room and can go live after rehab. At this house we will teach them values that will bring the right person into their lives. We will teach them financial literacy how to buy a car, how to get a home, how to be of value in the work place and give them an outlet to turn to when they need to blow off steam and not turn to drugs. This outlet will be mountain biking, fitness and overall living healthy. Two wheels has kept me off hard drugs for over 16 years. I’m not quite ready to do the house yet, I’m working on getting to that point. I’m going to call it Life Behind Bars! It will be a life behind handle bars in place of jail/prison. Because I’m not ready for the house yet but I want to do something. I had this thought last week at church. I’m going to start a monthly mountain bike ride to promote healthy living. Everyone is welcome! All though I haven’t used hard drugs in a long time I’ve struggled with occasional beer drinking and over the last two years I’ve cut it out of my life. I’m committed to living healthy and to start helping people get off drugs or anything that might be holding you back from being the person you want to be and in return it holds me accountable to be the person I want to be. I really don’t know what this looks like but I want to take action on it and I believe this all starts with community! ⬇️ more in comments
