Today I feel heartbroken. I considered not making this post because, as a business, it seems the smart decision to remain impartial, but under these circumstances, I cannot help but to feel this pain out loud. Not just for myself as an immigrant who built what I had from scratch, but for everyone who will feel the weight of such a crucial mistake over the course of the next 4 years. I feel for the young women growing up in a country who is slowly stripping away their bodily autonomy (by a party obsessed with not stripping rights). The LGBT+ community, and the continued marginalization of minorities. The party responsible for the reversal of roe and continues to fight for turning back the clock on all the progress made. Slowly moving back to the “good old days” of open misogyny, racism, profit over people, and xenophobia. That will never be something I believe in and will always be outspoken about, because I love my country and believe we can always be better.
This a painful mistake that I hope we can survive and find some peace in knowing the MAGA CULT will end with him and this term. We will outgrow and out live and move towards a country who stands for equality and love. This is a time for unity and hope.
