We rolled into the end lunch of the 3 day @classiccaradv #SilverSummit car rally in a light mix of rain and sleet. What a great experience @tabethakanter and I had in our new to us 1987 Porsche 911.
In the last 10 days we covered over 2500 miles, starting when we picked the car up in Knoxville TN with almost 110,000 miles.

Over our first 1400 miles since picking up this 1987 Porsche 911 a few days ago, the only real concern we had was a persistent squeak in the front end. Our fear was A Arms. We took it to Pueblo Imports @puebloimports in Pueblo CO. They quickly got us in and on the rack. They looked over the car and quickly determined it was only dry swaybar mounts. A couple of shots of grease and we were good to go.

On our drive from Knoxville to Colorado, @tabethakanter and I stopped at @mcphersoncollege in McPherson Kansas, for a tour of the auto restoration facilities. This is where Tabetha got her Bachelor degree and where she added to her mechanical skills and passion. Last day on the road to @tabethakanter family in Colorado in time for Mothers Day. We have driven nearly 1,400 miles since picking up the car Thursday afternoon in Knoxville.
The car is performing beyond our expectations by all measures. Comfortable, fun, fast and great handling.

OK, it's been months since our last adventure and @tabethakanter really wanted us to participate in this year's Classic Car Adventures' Silver Summit rally in Colorado.
We didn't really have a great rally car that we could practically get to the event in time but we found this amazing, slightly hot rodded 1987 Porsche 911 Carrera.
Trouble was we were in Florida, the car was in Knoxville and the rally is in Colorado.
"No problem" says Tabetha. "We will fly to Knoxville, jump in a 38 year old used car we'd never even seen, drive it 1,300 miles to the rally, then do another 1,000 miles!"
So that's what we are doing. Day One done with our flying to Knoxville and meeting the seller, who is a great guy. Then we drove it a bit over 200 miles. 1,100 more miles to go for the rally. GREAT CAR!
