This was a huge commission done during covid lockdown of "my rendition of "Garden of Earthly Delights" by Bosch. The person who commissioned it backed out. (Don't do that) And I was so bummed about it I didn't share it fully. But here it is in all its glory! The wound being way less fresh makes me appreciate this piece so much more. This is proof of what I could do if I didn't work 3 jobs! It is available for purchase if anyone is interested. Graphite on sheets of Stonehenge. About 4 feet wide. #drawing #art #illustration #graphite #contemporaryart #gardenofearthlydelights #bosch #bostonartist #beverlyma #salem #portermillstudios

This painting is titled "Willy Loman's Last Ride" or something to that effect. Been thinking about it in relation to tr*mps exit. This image is my depiction of the "off screen" moment from the play "Death of a Salesman" where Loman, an uneeded, outdated, and wholly useless salesman drives off into the night. The scene that immediately follows is his family mourning him ..... When I made this, I was exiting art school. I was feeling a bit lost and was sympathetic towards Willy, understanding the feeling of belonging and then the immediate lack thereof. As I look this image now it takes on an entirely new meaning. I feel no sympathy and In my mind I'm placing tr*mp at this wheel. One last crazy ride he's taking us on. He can't handle the loss of power. The loss of control... The big takeaway for me is I love how the mind assigns stories and meanings to images. How narratives form through small visual clues. I love that this piece which once felt autobiographical feels more like commentary as time passes. I enjoy growing alongside my images. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . #drawing #art #fineart #painting #contemporaryart #editorialillustration #bookillustration #sketch #acrylicpainting #tbt #deathofasalesman #arthurmiller #boston #bostonartist #beverlyma #salem

Was thinking today (while sitting in a chipotle) about what percentage of my life was dictated by brands/ full of recognizable product/ and how much more space and time we'd have without these things. I redacted all of that here in a found image of New York and used each redacted shape to make a new composition. . . . . . #drawing #collage #portermill #art #newyork

Recent Drawings. My compositions lately speak volumes. They are tangible reflections of the chaos. Messy, unpolished impulsive-made-on-the-nearest-piece-of-paper type work. They feel to me like exorcised demons. Enjoy. . . . . . . . #drawing #art #illustration #sketchbook #portermillstudios
