I have always loved the idea of performance in art and design. However design lacks performance. Some times a simple act can add so much meaning to an art or design. I would really love to get into the art of performance someday. . This piece was ready to go to Delhi to @sreyansisingh for the exhibition at @stir_world . So I decided to do a shoot by wearing it. Here is what my little performance captured by the camera person. . . #buttonmasala #buttonmasalaart #buttonmasaladress #stirworld

No stitches. No glue. Just pure innovation — Button Masala redefining fabric itself. @buttonmasala What if fabric didn’t need stitches to hold its identity? What if structure came from creativity, not machines? That’s exactly what Anuj ji challenged. With nothing more than buttons and rubber bands, he turned a simple idea into a disruptive design language — Button Masala. No threads, no adhesives, no shortcuts. Just raw experimentation and precision. In a world obsessed with complex technology, this innovation proves a brutal truth: Sometimes, simplicity is the most powerful invention. This isn’t just fashion. It’s a mindset shift. #Innovation #DesignThinking #ButtonMasala #CreativeEngineering #MakeInIndia button masala, no stitch fabric, sustainable design, creative innovation, indian design, experimental fashion, textile innovation, minimalist engineering, handmade concept, design disruption

The world of fashion is constantly evolving, demanding designers to think outside the box, embrace innovation, and prioritize sustainability @anujsharmanid from India came up with one such idea around 2009: @buttonmasala — a method of constructing clothing and objects without stitching, machines, or tools, using only buttons and rubber bands At a time when landfills are filling up with textile waste, this idea offers a more sustainable approach by reusing fabrics, reducing waste, and giving discarded materials a new life through creative design From showcasing this collection in countries like Japan, UK, Sweden, and Bangladesh, to Lakmé Fashion Week in Mumbai, to teaching this idea as a mentor, this technique has been shared with over 50,000 people worldwide From clothing to beautiful carpets, bags, jewelry, sarees, tops, and many more, this work celebrates one of the finest ideas in craft which reminds us that innovation is not always about adding more — sometimes the most remarkable creations are born from simplicity, guided by deeper intelligence #fashion #buttonmasala #fyp #explore #reach

Worlds first no stitch, two rectangular piece jacket, is handcrafted with ease and must be worn with intention. This khadi jacket is built from patience — each button is put to create texture, movement, and quiet character. Light on the body, strong in presence. Made for days when comfort doesn’t mean compromise. Rooted in craft and sustainability this is the first ever jacket that is no stitch. Never been made before in the history of clothing. What’s even more exciting is that it can be made longer or wider as needed #Handmade #SlowFashion  #ConsciousClothing #buttonmasala #buttonmasalajacket

Button Masala X Anshul Rajwansh Two friends who started aspiring for fashion together. Applied together for NID and NIFT. Anshul went on to study at NIFT Hyderabad and I came to NID Ahmedabad. Anshul became a men’s wear designer and I took the Button Masala route. Cheers to our 34 years of friendship and many more to come. Where sharp tailoring meets artisanal unstitched texture. The Look: A masterclass in modern heritage. The model wears a deep navy windowpane Linen Bandhgala by Anshul Rajwansh—precision-cut for the contemporary minimalist. The Space: The iconic Elephant Chair by Button Masala. Featuring their signature crimson “buttonmasala” texture and a hand-crafted elephant motif, it’s more than furniture - it’s a statement of craft. Craftsmanship. Character. Collaboration. #ButtonMasalaXAnshulRajwansh #IndianDesign #ElephantChair #buttonmasala #rajwansh

Elephant Chair - Some chairs are made to be sat on. Some are made to be felt. Carved in warm wood, wrapped in texture, and kissed by afternoon light — this piece turns a quiet corner into a story. The red button masala flowers blooms like a memory, the elephant motif rests like a whisper, and every flower carries the patience of hands that made it. Not furniture. A pause. A presence. A little poetry for your home. The chair is original as it is. The back drop is AI. In case anyone is wondering. #buttonmasala #buttonmasalafurniture #SlowLiving #InteriorPoetry #buttonmasalaflower

Before sending this art piece to Delhi, we had to capture it. We took many pics, but somehow, this one stands out. Introducing Flower Birds, a 3x4 ft wall art piece made from button masala flowers. Our first series pays tribute to tessellation, with each flower removable and replaceable, making it a dynamic DIY project. We are happy to take orders for this double-sided frame for your wall or room. It was recently showcased at @indiadesignid in a special display of objects. #buttonmasalaart #buttonmasala #fabricart #diyart #fabricinstallation
