In Boston to support Tucker’s charity event, Haymakers for Hope. The event has raised over $600,000 from warriors like Tucker to defeat cancer. So proud. I was also the first guest in the new Beacon Suite Hotel, one block from Tuckers apartment. Lovely owners, beautiful property. Thank you for supporting Tuckers mission.

Baja 2026 complete. 1100 miles from San Diego to Cabo, 17 straight riding days, filled with heat, wind and elevation. We visited family friend and Phoebe’s college roommate Sophie H and her new dog Orzo. Sophie works remotely from her sprinter van several months a year. We met many warm wonderful people along our travels (Canada, France, Germany and Lithuania) in addition to the warm, friendly and generous Mexican people. The scenery, food and memories are off the charts. Thanks to my adventure partner Jay who supplied H20 when I ran dry and always put a smile on my face even when the temps hit 100. On to spring and the boating season. Maybe Spain in 2027.

Baja 2026: Day 8, San Diego, Tecate, Ensenada, Lázaro Cárdenas, San Felipe, Puertecitos, Gonzaga Bay, Guerrero Negro and Villa Alberto. Mex 5, 3 and 1 as we head south zig zagging from the Pacific Ocean to the Sea of Cortez, from the desert beautify to the blue rich ocean waters to the warm friendly Mexican people with authentic foods and hospitality. I love everything about this journey.

Yesterday marked the return of our 750 mile journey from Burlington, Vermont to Tadoussac (Founded 1599) and the Saguenay Fjord (Canada’s first marine park) located in the Charlevoix region of Quebec. The Saguenay is known for its rugged beauty and whale watching. It’s a special place. Next year we will venture to the Gaspe peninsula and possibly the Magdalen Islands, an archipelago in the Gulf of St. Lawrence.

We returned from a week in the Saguenay Fjord, visiting Tadoussac, Anse Saint Jean, Sainte Rose Du Nord, La Baie and Baie Eternite. Photos really do not capture the beauty of this area. We saw many Belugas and Minke whales along with harbor seals and porpoises. Many days we were the only boat traveling in the Fjord. Magical. We are ready for a three day visit to Quebec City. Canada’s clearly not for sale!

We traveled to Trois-Rivieres, Quebec City, Saint Laurent, Cap-A-L’Aigle, Tadoussac and into the Saguenay Fjord where we watched Belugas and Minke whales in their natural habitat. We ended our day 20 miles up the Fjord at the village of L’anse St. Jean. Tomorrow we head to Baie Eternite and Sainte Rose.

August 1st we embarked on a month long trip to Quebec City, Tadoussac and the Saguenay fjord, home of many whale species including Beluga. This entire region is either rural or still in wilderness state. Tadoussac (founded in 1599) encompasses the first marine national park of Canada. Our (new to us) Nordhavn 41 (category A rating) will deliver us safely to the cold waters of this northern region with its twin diesels, ABT stabilizers, state of the art systems and 4000 plus nautical range.

Mission accomplished. 22 straight days of riding (rain or shine) from Key West to Woodbury, CT 1800 miles. Our last week we traveled to Elizabeth City, NC., Cape Charles, VA., Pocomoke, MD., Cape May, NJ., Barnegat, NJ, NYC, and finally 90 miles to Woodbury, CT. Ann, Jenny and Wendy greeted us as we climbed South Street exhausted from a windy and cold journey back home. ❤️ Great trip, thank you Jay & Mike for the friendship and brotherly love. It was a ton of fun!

Happy Spring. Week two is in the books as we logged 1180 total miles. Darien, Jacksonboro, Savannah (St. Patrick’s Guinness), Charleston, Pawleys Island, Southport (Bald Head Island), Jacksonville and Washington. Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina. Saturday we hit Virginia. Our partner Mike left us in Charleston, it’s a bit quieter but easier to find two seats at the bar. 😊 Outstanding weather and a news free cycle has been a blessing.
