When one finally remembers that there is a used disposable camera at the bottom of oneโs book-bag and gets the film developed.
I believe all of these were taken on the same day in January, 2026.
โButtered Roll @ the Intersection of the Sacred and the Profaneโ in which is use sharpie marker and a bit of silliness to address the rather large amounts of meaninglessness that are floating through the aether these days.
My love to Christine for helping me with this. Nothing would get done here without you. I love you. @amindfulwriter
This past Saturday, we poets were privileged to assemble and shout at the walls to our heartโs content. Thank you to Danny Shot, Vera and the Hoboken Historical Museum for allowing us to celebrate Hoboken and Staten Island and the poetry that brings us together. My heart is full. Much love to everyone that showed up for the event. It was a wonderful one. I feel very privileged to have friends that are such wonderful artists and I feel privileged to be allowed to exert myself as an artist within this space. Thank you. More to come!
Saturday, April 18, 2026, 5 pm, Hoboken Historical Museum. 6 wonderful poets, 3 from Hudson County and 3 from Staten Island, will be reading at an event curated and hosted by yours truly.
Much love and gratitude to the Hoboken Historical museum community for allowing me to pay my respects to Hoboken in poetic fashion.
I hope to see you there!!
Your regular reminder to NOT steal art supplies. Although the retail prices for art supplies such as oil paint or canvas are straight up disrespectful, you should not steal them. We have to use our boot straps. If you learn to budget youโll be a millionaire in no time at all. If you decide to be an artist, you will only be a millionaire once, for about three minutes. Then you will never have money again. Speaking from experience. **wink** But, broke or nope, DONโT STEAL. It will go on your permanent record.
In this apartment, my living room more specifically, Iโve taught myself how to paint and completed well over 200 paintings. Most of which will never see public exposition. I have created, compiled and self published 2 books. I have written unnumbered poems and pages and read a significant portion of the library Iโve assembled. The avatar or aesthetic that is Buttered Roll has been assembled and is connected to this railroad style apartment in Hoboken. I know it will be a challenge to continue creating at the pace that I am accustomed to but I feel it is a challenge that is manageable and will lead ultimately to the growth of the aesthetic and the person. I look forward to who and what are coming.
