Can’t say enough good things about @jesse_malin and his “Rock Opera” show called Silver Manhattan. I got the pleasure of playing as a special guest last night and the show is an emotional and inspiring rollercoaster of song and storytelling. Jesse is one of the best humans i know and if you haven’t seen this show PLEASE do yourself a favor and go check it out. They’re doing it wed-sun every week for a few weeks and him and the band are just phenomenal. Sad it was a quick trip for me to the city because i would watch it every night if i could. Make sure to get tickets and check it out at the new @bowerypalace (formerly Bowery Electric) for an intimate and beautiful show, straight from his heart to yours. -BW🖤

Hell yeah, brother. Don’t mind if i do. I’ll be out slingin’ lead guitar with my @train buds this summer on tour for the 25th Anniversary of The Drops Of Jupiter album. We are hittin’ all the good amphitheaters in all the good towns while hitting you in all the good spots with tons of hits and deep cuts. With the announcement of my signature BW1969 amp with @dvdby13 my fellow guitarist friends have been as excited as i am about it. They’re taking orders as we speak and they should be ready in about a month for the first production run! If you haven’t seen my earlier posts about it, I’ll fill you in on the nerdy details.. At its core, the BW 1969 features two independent tube power supplies, each fully realized and intentionally different. A pair of EL84s running cathode bias delivers speed, harmonic complexity, and immediacy at 18 watts, while a pair of 6L6s in fixed bias adds authority, control, and low-end stability at 45 watts. Each power section can be used on its own or combined, delivering a total output of 63 watts when run together. When blended, the amp retains the harmonic detail and responsiveness of the EL84s while gaining the weight and firmness of the 6L6 power section. The result is not compromise. It is interaction. A six-position input gain selector reshapes the front end of the amplifier, changing feel and response rather than simply adding gain. Each position is deliberate, moving from raw, edge-of-breakup tones to thicker drive with strong string separation and harmonic depth. The Treble control includes a push-pull Bright switch, offering additional lift without overcomplicating the signal path. The BW 1969 includes a fully tube-buffered effects loop, designed to integrate time-based effects while preserving immediacy and feel. A push-pull defeat and Bright option allow the loop to be tailored or removed entirely from the circuit. Well @thenammshow was AWESOME and the response for the new BW1969 Signature Amp from @dvdby13 was MASSIVE. Eli and Mac and the rest of the crew KILLED IT with the design and i am so proud to be involved. They’re taking orders now and all being hand built over there. It’s gonna be your favorite guitar amp ever. Also we filmed an amp demo with @premierguitar that will be coming soon (I’d like to also give a HUGE FUCK YOU to the asshole over at the Ibanez booth who felt entitled enough to yell at us during our amp video demo because he didn’t like us playing a guitar. Each power section can be used on its own or combined, delivering a total output of 57 watts when run together, OH and the matching 212F speaker cabinet with specially made Celestion greenback 454’s… it’s just UNREAL. What is this amp I’m playing through? And how much do I LOVE IT? Well you can bet it’s as much as Billy Squier loved bubblegum pink parachute pants and ripped up crop tops (don’t worry I wore the same thing back then and loved it!). Can’t help it. Every time i see my cream colored Fender Stratocaster, i have to pick it up and attempt to re-spark my (then) 17yr old fingers to attempt the shredding of Blackmore and Malmsteen. Sloppy but still fun. Also this new “mystery amp” is so inspiring to play Rock n Roll through. I can’t wait to unveil it for you this week!
