The QUAID GIGASLOPE is a four channel multi-mode modulator, with each channel outputting a variable staged slope that can act as a complex envelope, flexible LFO, or step sequence. Each slope can contain up to 13 stages, which may be independent or overlap with other stages. Slopes can be triggered or run freely, with both manual and CV control over each stage’s level, duration, and curve. The output range of each slope can be set and optionally quantised to musical scales. Trigger outputs are available at the end of each stage and at the completion of a slope. The QUAID GIGASLOPE builds on our earlier Megaslope module, expanding the idea of a hands on, menu free, jam friendly complex modulator. The FMco is a compact FM synthesis based VCO and voice. 「 Poly GIGASLOPE 」🎹 Using the QUAID GIGASLOPE as a 4-voice polyphonic envelope with 13 stages simulating reversing transients and multitap echoes. 🚛 Gigaslope restocks are now shipping out to ALM stockists worldwide! The polyphonic gate outputs of a Keystep Pro are patched to the 4 trigger inputs of the Gigaslope, with the 4 slope outs patched to both the filter cutoff and VCA level of each of the 4 synth voices. The Gigaslope’s 4 slopes are all set identically to run in Envelope mode with a range of 13 total stages. As the Level and Time controls are increased a one of a kind polyphonic multistage envelope emerges, with 4 voices triggered by playing the keyboard. The slopes are set up to produce rhythmic multitap echo like repeats with multiple continuous decay stages chained together as well as a slow rise stage, simulating reversed transient sounds. Finally, the End of stage (EOS) output is enabled and patched to trigger 4 independent random voltages from Pamela’s PRO Workout, for stepped modulation of the 4 filter cutoffs directly following the stages. 「 MFD STEREO VCA 」Using the MFD as a stereo VCA by connecting a stereo source to the B inputs and an envelope to the X Fade CV input. 🪄 The two oscillators of Akemie’s Castle are patched as a stereo pair to the B inputs of the MFD (with the A inputs left unpatched). 「 Crumbular CV 」💫 Assigning CV to numerous parameters of the MFX’s ‘Crumbular Echo’ to produce otherworldly granular time shifts. A sparse drum beat from the Squid Salmple is patched to the MFX for processing through its ‘Crumbular Echo’ engine, a one of a kind granular echo. Using the AXON-1 expander, 4 CV sequences from the QUAID GIGASLOPE are assigned one by one to the Time, Spray, Size, Variance, Feedback, High cut and Low cut parameters of the echo. 「 Pam’s Disco 」🪩 @mumdance performing with a 9U 52HP ALM system synced to a pair of CDJ’s via the recently released Pamela’s Disco. A kick and clap pattern are sequenced with the ASQ-1 and the new FMco is used to create a short melodic loop, sequenced by the Quaid Megaslope. The live 4x4 techno loop compliments the two more syncopated grime and electro tracks playing from the CDJ’s, with mutes, octave shifts and changes to the FM ratios performed alongside the tracks. 「 Pip Filter Kick 」🥾 Synthesizing a kick drum using the self oscillating Pip Filter with envelopes patched to both the Frequency and VCA CV inputs. With no input connected, the output of the Pip Filter is patched to the BXx2 and on to the MEGA-TANG for mixing. To make a kick drum with the Pip Filter: 👉 Increase Resonance into self oscillation 👉 Lower the cutoff frequency into kick range 👉 Patch an envelope to the Frequency CV input 👉 Patch a trig or gate to the ‘Trig’ input for click (optional) 👉 Patch an envelope to the VCA CV input. 👉 Adjust to taste, increasing the Frequency attenuverter for a greater pitch sweep, shortening and lengthening envelopes and changing the base frequency of the kick. #kickdrum #synthesis #analogfilter #eurorack #modularsynthesizer

「 MEGA MILTON Sample Rate 」👾 Patching analog sample rate reduction using the MEGA MILTON’s S&H triggered at very high audio rates by the TAZM-O. 👾 A square wave from the Shape out of the TAZM-O is connected to the trig input of the MEGA MILTON’s Sample & Hold section, with audio from Akemie’s Castle patched to the S&H input. As the Frequency of the TAZM-O is increased the quality of the Castle’s audio signal improves. To further increase the frequency, an offset from the Beast’s Chalkboard is patched to the TAZM-O V/Oct input. Acting just like a digital audio converter, audio at the S&H input is sampled with the sample rate determined by the TAZM-O frequency, which increases the resolution the higher it goes. 「 CIZZLE REESE 」⚡️ Using the CIZZLE to create both classic & modern ‘Reese’ bass, sequenced along with a break. Starting with a droning sine, the Shape and PD Algo controls of the CIZZLE’s OSC A are increased to produce a mellow but buzzy phase distortion tone. The chord knob is increased into the unison detune settings, set to the final ‘Castle’ detune with approx. 1 semitone offset across the 4 stacked voices for a large amount of ‘beating’. The octave is then lowered, resulting in a classic mellow CZ style Reese bass. The pip slope is patched to control the CIZZLE’s internal VCA and the Pamela’s PRO Workout / ASQ-1 are started, sequencing a break, bass line and chord. As the track is performed, the PD Algo is adjusted to morph the bass sound into a brighter, more modern saw wave Reese bass.🪚 #reesebass #bass #cizzle #casio #almbusycircuits
