Busted Head Racket bring a patented blend of weirdo synth punk that at first feels familiar (think CCTV and those good early days of egg punk) but becomes stranger and more interesting at every listen. Shifting rhythms and lo-fi vocals that can span between cute, angry, and chillingly deadpan lie right right below earworm synth hooks. It’s good stuff.
Joining them we’ve got Oakland’s excellent Body Double with their post-punk leaning into new wave and the speedy rowdiness of locals Aspanya.
