Everyone will have to check in at the theatre counter and pick out a seat. You must have a ticket with a seat number. Your seat number is associated with the food service. If you order food outside of snacks and soda they will bring it to your seat number during the video. To avoid any confusion stick to your seat number you pick regardless if you are ordering food or not. Also, please do not throw popcorn or anything around or on the floor. Be clean and respectful or I will get fined. We have the theatre from 7pm-8pm. Exactly one hour. So as soon as the video is done, please exit the theatre immediately. @jiwajata short and sweet part in 8-TRACK Stoked to be able to have this in the video thanks to @johnvalenti @tristan.mershon and @2camzsam for the contributed clips. I’m a big fan of shorter parts in full lengths. I think they are important to the structure of a video and it adds some special to the flow and layout. In a lot of cases those parts can end up being stand outs too. I’ve always liked making these kind of parts or sections. Taking a small grip of footage and making something cool rather then using just a few for a montage. @pj_castellano part from 8-TRACK was one of my favorites parts to put together. With easily the hardest Super 8 footage to film. That shit was a rush to plan out and actually make happen. Starting at the first station waiting for the right trolley then it’s go time. Running from station to station with Dustin as our getaway driver. Picking up/dropping us off at each station trying to beat the trolley there to get the next shot. It was one of the best moments filming for this video. We only shot it once because it was such a mission to complete. I imagined the footage to be a little different but the day of shooting we picked the vintage “skeleton” trolley. Mostly to avoid shooting any trolleys with huge ADs plastered on the whole thing. The skeleton trolley has a whole different design as far as seats and entrances go. I was planning for weeks with the regular trolley design in mind. So day of, once we picked the skeleton I had to adjust quick and just try and make it work on the spot. It was difficult and at times felt like it wasn’t working, but it was so fun that it makes me appreciate the footage so much more. Anyways, here’s some of my favorite skate clips of PJ from his part, a great watch and arguable the best song in the video, as I’ve been told. @peeweekirks opener part from 8-TRACK. I had the idea to try and put in as much tributes to my past work into this video and kind of tie it all together. That idea started and pretty much ended with Robby’s part, as the video grew into something else on its own. Here’s a couple examples of tributes through out Rob’s part: -Robby had the opening part in my first actual video so giving him the first part in 8-TRACK felt right. That was one of the first ideas I had for this video that I knew had to happen. -Robby’s into to his 8-TRACK part was filmed on his porch. Which was a nod to his Mixtape Vol.1 part (not shown) and his shared part with PJ in Mixtape Vol.3 Both filmed on the different porches of the houses he lived at in the years of filming for each video. -Every edit I made with Rob has some sort of nose manual camera smack transition in the mix. The one in 8-TRACK was made to transition into his second song. Which was a freestyle and a nod to the freestyle song in his Mixtape Vol.2 part. -Lastly, the hardflip fakie at airport banks. This was not a nod to any past videos I made with Rob but I loved the idea of re-filming it for 8-TRACK. Basically a tribute to himself and how long he’s been skating and filming in Tampa. The first hardflip fakie was around 20 years ago and filmed by @stienerrecliner All that makes Rob’s part important to me and to this video. He’s been down for me since day one and has had a part in every one of my videos I’ve ever made. Rob even sold me my first death lens back in the day for $400, which was in a sock since he didn’t have a lens cap for it. @jimmylannon opening and closing move(s) in his main day part from 8-TRACK. Both on different sidewalk hip spots, both in yellow shirts, and both somewhat sequenced moves. One goes up, other goes down. All tied together to bring some of that symmetrical editing to the part that Jimmy loves. Throwing in the Rick flip manny in Miami for good measure. A clip that we randomly filmed on the spot, that we were so stoked on that we made it the “surprise” last trick. Of course out of all the tries, I scrape the camera on the ground and almost ruin the one he landed. @masterkohlow ending section from his part in 8-TRACK This is a top moment for me in the whole video. It started after getting the 5050 front crook fakie clip. Once we had that we were trying to find as many cool 5050 combos as we could. Which quickly snowballed into also trying to film 2 things at each spot he could. Although we didn’t get some of the ones we tried or had ideas for, I’m stoked with what we pulled off in the end. 2 tricks at each spot bleeding into the ending 5050 combos.
