There are a few new followers around here lately, so I figured it's time for a reintroduction. My name is Jesse and I'm the Owner/Illustrator & Designer at Bush Dog Creative. Bush Dog Creative is a one-man (and a dog) design studio that specializes in bold and unique hand-drawn design for apparel, print, and branding. Born and raised in Texas, my inspiration draws from western culture and Americana, seasoned with a little grit, whimsy, and wonder.
I admire people doing their best to do good things in the world, I am all in for meaningful conversations, my best work comes from gratitude, I have a soft spot for stories and songs, I think we could all benefit from hearing and saying "I'm proud of you" more, I aim to love God and love people, and I'm a believer in grace because I've been given it.

Here's a recently completed primary badge logo for Rusted Anchor Home Inspections. The client wanted an anchor incorporated into the initials of of the company name. Instead of having both the "R" and "A" present, we opted for incorporating an anchor into the "R." R + Anchor = Rusted Anchor.

I was driving home the other night listening to the new record from @flatlandcavalry and this particular song struck me. I think it inspired this whimsical take on a drifter accumulating tales. It may have even made me feel young again - with dreams still out on the horizon.
I think it would make the coolest t-shirt. Now, who in here can help me get this in front of those Flatland boys?
