Series of artwork we created for the Jazz week 22. The festival was a busy program with events from 12pm to 3am everyday. We wanted to give each type of event its own visual to help navigate the schedule. â

Part of the objective of @sainthenrijazz is be welcoming space for non jazz aficionados to discover jazz so we wanted to whole direction of the festival to step away from traditional jazz artwork and have a more modern look, an extension of the branding of the organisation itself. â

The festival wrapped up last night, what an amazing experience. The overwhelming positive feedback and support from not only the Jazz community but Saint-Henri, the media and the wider Montreal community was fantastic.â

For the last little while we have been the creative partner for a new community run not for profit with a whole lot of spunk called La SociĂŠtĂŠ jazz de Saint-Henri, 'SJSH'.â

We were originally asked to develop the look and feel of the organisation, an ongoing project that is constantly growing in parallel with the organisation itself. â

SJSH was created to nurture the future of jazz in Saint-Henri by respecting its roots and traditions. If jazz is at the heart of Montreal's historical and cultural roots, Saint-Henri and La Petite-Bourgogne were at the epicentre. â

The work we created quite literally place's Saint-Henri at the heart of the story by using the map of neighbourhood as the primary brand elementâ

To position Saint-Henri at the heart of the organisation's story, we used the map of the neighbourhood as the primary brand element along with a layered system of interchangeable graphic and typographic assets to mimic the improvisational nature of jazz and represent the diversity the community. â

One of our favourite reoccurring projects with KU is their Annual Report which has grown and taken many forms of the years. As we gear up for the 21/22 edition, we wanted to take look back at some of designs we've produced.â

One of our first design concepts was to bring a bit of life to the Annual Report by building some of the data out of children's playthings and photographing them.â
