AP1 ('00-03) vs AP2V2 ('04-05) ABS module upgrade.
For the 2004 model year, Honda made major updates to many of the systems and components on the AP2V1. One of those upgrades that they didn't talk about much was the new ABS module.
Aside from the reduced size and weight, the major update was the yaw control logic.
This is a "direct" swap with one major caveat. Honda changed all the brake lines at the ABS module to the DIN bubble flare. This means YOU CANNOT re-use AP1 hard lines. All hard lines must be replaced from an '04-05 AP2 V1 or remade.
There are 3 additional pins on the AP2V1 ABS module, however, the OEM service manual shows that those 3 additional pins are not utilized. Perhaps Honda tried to add VSA, but abandoned the attempt?Who knows... they only used this module for 2 years before going to the MK60, which is arguably better.
