To the public, Chantae is a reporter. One with an uncanny tendency to stumble into the most tangled and unpleasant criminal affairs, always arriving just a step before the truth comes to light. Her name appears in footnotes and columns, rarely questioned and quickly forgotten. Such coincidences are common in Fontaine. Or so people believe. What few realize is that certain cases never pass through open court, nor are they spoken of within the Palais Mermonia. Buried beneath sealed reports and unspoken orders, they are entrusted only to those who can pursue them without leaving a trace. When the morning briefing ends and the Marechaussee Phantom disperses into the city, Chantae does not always follow. Sometimes, she is summoned elsewhere—where documents are stamped without record, and judgment is prepared long before the trial can begin. This misunderstanding serves everyone well. Criminals lower their guard. The court preserves its silence. And Fontaine’s most dangerous truths are quietly brought to light. Thus does the Chief Justice place his trust in her. And thus does Fontaine’s unseen judgment continue to move—unnoticed by all but those it is meant to find. 🫧...  I’ve never felt more proud of this one hehe. I took inspiration from Russian traditional outfits like the Kokoshnik for Chantae’s dress (the references are on the last slide :D) because this time I wanted to make it really close to the Snezhnaya aesthetic. Shoutout to Varv for giving me the idea for this. And of course, Childe had to be in a prince-like outfit 💐💐💐 I also drew Chantae with the beautiful ladies, hehe. I wish I could include more people, but my health hasn’t been very good lately. But I really wanted to thank everyone for supporting my ship all this time.
