How #BULLY started vs how it ended:
The album was first announced in September 2024, shortly after Vultures 1 & 2. Around this time, Ye revealed that the title BULLY came from an incident involving his son Saint West, which shaped the album’s theme of aggression, power, and self-reflection.
He also previewed early material like “PREACHER MAN,” hinting at a return to soul samples mixed with darker and industrial sounds.
In 2025, the album BULLY began as scattered ideas, unfinished demos, shelved beats, and tracks with no clear direction. Pieces like early versions of “CIRCLES” or “THIS ONE HERE” were just fragments sitting in the background.
Then everything changed.
After time away, Ye came back focused. He rebuilt those ideas, stripped them down, turned them into something intentional and cohesive.
By March 2026, BULLY wasn’t just a collection of songs anymore, it was a complete statement.
