A month or so back, Joseph from @bulletcable kindly sent over some of his coil cables, including the ‘silent coil cable’. Apart from being reliable and sounding great, I thought I’d give him a shout out by showing off the ‘silent’ aspect of the silent cable in this side-by-side of my ‘70 ES-340 and my ‘68 ES-330.
I get asked about the differences in sound in these two guitars a fair bit, so here’s both of them through the normal channel of an AC15, running through a Celestion Greenback speaker.
Basically full volume and pure joy to play.
I think they both sound ace, but the bit where I changed guitars - no buzzing sound at all - the ‘silent coil’ delivers!!
What do you reckon, no.1 the 340 or no.2 the 330?
