‘25 closed the first chapter of Būko’s journey of taking the leap to share this project with you all. Thank you for coming out and pullin up and listening.
There’ll be pages written about this year in history books. Crazy, confusing, at times debbie demented, made you wanna phone home, and yet— dare i say…inspiring ? Sometimes the process is to simmer, let questions float in the air until they are naturally answered.
We’ll be asking new questions… maybe even providing new answers.

I’ve crashed out multiple times making it and learned so much about myself as an artist and I would not have it any other way. Music led the way when words wouldn’t suffice for the things I had to talk about. Thank you to the amazing friends and collaborators who helped accomplish this feat by giving life to the music I wrote in some of the darkest days of my life in the last three years.
As a kid me, @ivanna_palamariuk , and @valentyn_zvarych would organize concerts for the neighbors in my aunt’s garage, performing comedy and original songs. This one’s for those kids who wouldn’t stop at anything to put on a good show.
Today the world is getting darker and more confusing politically, creating art feels like a revolutionary flame 🔥 in the framework of our lives. These songs set me free in new ways and I’m excited to share them all with you and let them take on their next form…

I’d be lying if I said that the themes of dystopia and apocalyptic futures weren’t on my mind while writing these tracks. It’s a shock to the system when your worldview is burned to a crisp and things you could never imagine become a reality— like war. The catalyst for change. The leveler. The root of pure evil. When it comes to regions and places that raised you, that you call HOME, where your friends and family still reside, it radicalizes you. But, the antithesis of war is CREATION. To me these tracks paint the picture of synthesizing the worlds lost, of hope, and little prayers I whispered to set myself free from the grief and rage of the destruction that set fire to places I once knew. The threads of the people we’ve lost is a burden unimaginable, a pain I share with my birth country while existing seas away in an empire that has yet to see its own reckoning. These words and songs are my addition to the fight for truth, for freedom, for self liberation, and for the chance to rebuild something greater.
At the beginning of this year I pulled some tarot cards, the sum of which was 6– (like the 6 tracks on Tour de Force) I don’t believe in coincidences anymore, and think this was meant to come out at the time it is. Otherwise it would not have made sense. The time has come.
