Snow hike #2
March 22, 25
Ha Ling Peak
Bow Valley Provincial Park - Kananaskis
Sometimes when I visit Calgary on a work trip, I am fortunate to be able to add a day for adventure. This day I was extremely lucky to have the time and ability to hike to the summit of Ha Ling Peak, in the snow, elevation a bit over 8000'.
The day started beautifully. Later a storm did move in, and the temp dropped some 25°, and I was in snow for a while. I loved every minute! Tho I'm still dealing with some frostbite in my right middle finger....
Someday I hope to hike the 3 sisters too in the far background. The near peak is Lawrence Grassi.
Come on down to All Season Brewery next Wednesday evening. Happy hour!
And meet our happy hiking crew. Learn about our adventures coming up this summer!
First drink is on us! 😁
Winter Hike #1
Pacifico
A hike I do at least once a year, in winter.
Because if you know where to look, you can see Mt. Langley and Mt. Whitney in the far distance.
And because the summit is gorgeous.
Grateful I was able to get a few snow hikes in.
