Almost got the E250F back together, but I was missing one o-ring. Really happy so far with everything. I’ve modded the shaft bearing by removing the seals and adding an oil supply hole as shown by @mygarageiscoolerthanyours on his blog (remember those?)

Finally got the gearset back together for the E250F. Hard to convey in pictures, but this thing is buttery smooth. New synchros, micro-polished, and ready to break as soon as I get it running. 🤞🏻

Well, it wasn’t as bolt together as I was hoping, but that’s the gamble with parts bin engineering. If I make custom knuckles, I can make them so all the other parts are bolt-on-able with no extra work. It’s CAD time baby!

I kinda think it’ll work. Prius knuckles with Tundra 4 piston calipers? Prius knuckles have been done on Celicas; the RAV4 and Celica are pretty closely related. Prius is 5x100, but the Prius wagon was 5x114.3; Tundra calipers have been done on RAV4 with LS400 rotors; sooo…idk maybe? Gonna scan and measure this week and see what happens.

Test fit of the new transfer case support bracket with integrated diff lock actuator. It’s a tight fit, but looks like it may work.

Scanned the E250F transfer case and 1MZ block to start building the support bracket. This will likely get modified to hold the new GM diff lock actuator as well.

New wheels for the Rav4. 16x8, 0 offset. Vision 351 in bronze. It will be nice to ditch the 1.5” spacers I’ve had on this thing. May need to do some extra clearance work but who cares; they look rad.

Got the winch and mounting (hopefully) figured out. This is 5500lb UTV winch from @harborfreight . It was on sale for $189 and comes with 50’ of synthetic rope. The RAV4 is about 3k lbs. so I think it should be fine for the minimal stuff I do. I’ll save myself some hassle and just have @sendcutsend cut and bend it for me. 🤙🏻
