💡 This week, we’re shining the spotlight on Drew Finkel, our Solution Consultant based in Austin, Texas!
Drew’s life trajectory was unknowingly secured after he had to choose between taking a High School class learning how to use Microsoft Office (wow) or a class on how to create 2D and 3D models of buildings or objects. Surprisingly, the CAD class was NOT the most popular one. Who would have thought!? 🤔
That’s when Drew’s passion for construction started. Fast-forward 10 years, and he began his career at a then-small Construction technology company called Bluebeam... and he hasn’t looked back.
Drew joined Buildots in 2023 as a Solution Consultant and works closely with both new and existing clients to show them the power of AI and automation as they deliver high-spec schemes across the United States.
Outside of work, Drew’s passions are family, food, and fun. 👪🥙🥳 He lives in the Lone Star State with his wife and 3 kids and loves cooking, trying new meals (much to his kids’ dismay), and exploring the Austin outdoors, except during the summer... then he finds indoor fun!
His fun fact? He may or may not have a secret Lego collection...

👋 Say hello to Mr James Megarity, our Belfast born-and-bred Customer Success Manager!
After graduating from Ulster University with a degree in Building Surveying, James moved from Belfast to London in 2017 where he spent 5 years working as a Surveyor. Then, with a previously untapped passion for construction technology, James made the move to Buildots 2.5 years ago as a Customer Success Manager.
His focus at Buildots is to provide the best customer experience possible to our clients, ranging from Japan to the West Coast of America. 🤝 Another hugely important part of James’ contribution to Buildots is his role as “Chief Entertainment Officer”, where he’s responsible for rallying our UK employees for some extra-curricular fun. 😎
In his spare time, James loves to travel, socialize, entertain (well, again, he is the Chief Entertainment Officer for a reason), listen to music, and play/watch rugby. 🎵 🏖️🏉

From her college days as a jobsite assistant to conquering roles at industry giants, plus a 2-year hiatus helping to launch a women's leadership development business, Jessica’s journey has certainly been exciting!
After her first 20+ years working in the commercial construction space for the likes of LendLease and Skanska, Jessica wanted to use her passion for the industry to elevate women into leadership, taking time out from the site to build a game-changing leadership development business, Bonfire, alongside her close friend 🚀
Once the venture got off the ground, the lure of construction called her back, this time with a tech twist! That's where Buildots comes in. Now, Jessica is blending traditional construction with cutting-edge tech to reform the industry, driving growth in North America and bringing our clients some stellar results. 🌟
Off the clock, Jessica’s life is filled with love and delicious food! She enjoys spending quality time with her husband Tommy, their two adorable dogs Charlie and Oakley, and her lovely nieces. And, with a love for cooking, you'll often find her cooking up a storm with her favorite New York Times recipes! 🍳📱

This week, we're shining the spotlight on music-loving, family man Gal Farhi! 🔦
Throughout the years, Gal has had a very adventurous career. He originally Co-Founded a Micro-VC, investing in early stage ConTech and PropTech startups (Gal and construction go waaaay back). This then led him to his next venture, where he went on to become a Digital Construction Manager at Accenture, supporting tier-1 owners and contractors in their digital transformation journey.
Then, you guessed it, Buildots! Since joining our team in 2022, Gal's focus has been on leading our global account management team and working closely with our clients to ensure they get the most value out of the Buildots system. Thanks to his experience in the ConTech industry over the years, Gal is a perfect fit for our mission here at Buildots 👌
Outside of work, Gal loves to spend quality time with his family and friends, as well as doing anything music-related. Honestly, anything: listening, playing with his band, playing solo, AND writing! A real jack of all trades! 👨👩👦👦🎸🎶

👋 Say hello to our sports-loving VDC Manager, Amah Momoh GMICE, who joined the business almost three years ago as a Customer Success Intern after graduating from UCL with a Masters in Civil Engineering. 🧑🎓
Since joining the company in 2021, Amah's impact has been nothing short of epic. 💪 He has been a driving force behind our stellar customer experience, making sure each project kicks off with a bang, and working closely with each client to implement any design changes that occur over a project's duration. Thanks to Amah, we are able to ensure that our customers get a seamless experience as they work hard to deliver the projects of tomorrow 🚧
Outside of work, Amah is always looking for a new personal challenge! Most recently, he completed the Newton Venture Capital programme with London Business School and HSBC Innovative Banking. He's also a huge sports enthusiast, and you can often find him playing basketball, hockey, football or enjoying the beauty of the slopes! ⛷️

The secret ingredient to good performance? Collaboration! 🤝
Last week, our Go-To-Market teams from around the globe joined forces for 3 days of strategy, workshopping and teamwork. We heard about each group's plans for the year ahead, as well as their successes from the last 12 months.
It was a fantastic opportunity for us to strengthen our relationships, support each other's efforts and, of course, have a lot of fun! We're proud of what we have achieved so far, and can't wait to see where we go from here.
Today we are shining the spotlight on family-man, music-lover and gardening enthusiast Paul Bamforth 👨👩👦👦 🎶 🌺
After graduating as a Master of Engineering (Electronics) nearly 40 years ago, Paul started on his journey in Technology companies, initially as a software engineer until being encouraged to help develop business rather than software – a much safer option for everyone 😉
Paul has been working within the construction industry for the past 25 years, and his passion for helping the industry to improve performance led him to join Buildots four years ago.
Now, as Head of Strategic Accounts, Paul is working with professionals across the sector to help them to recognize the benefits of utilizing exciting new technologies like Buildots.
When Paul takes his work hat off at the end of the day, you'll find him enjoying family time, walking in the countryside, gardening, listening to music and watching (or playing) sports. His passion though is to try and stay young by doing the things he has always done, however embarrassing that is for him and the people with him. 🤦
💡 This week, we are putting the spotlight on Gus Mitchell, who works closely with our clients worldwide, helping them streamline their workflows and provide maximum project efficiency.
From a young age, Gus spent a lot of time on construction sites shadowing tradesmen, site managers and project managers and seeing behind the scenes of a range of construction projects. 🏗️
With a passion for the industry, Gus joined Buildots and is currently working on a variety of different projects across multiple countries and continents 🌍
When he's at work, you can always find Gus in the kitchen surveying which snacks are the best; proven by his response "the fridge" when asked what is his favourite part of working at Buildots. 🍕🍔
Outside of work, when we can pry him away from the fridge, Gus is a keen golfer and runner, having completed two marathons so far with even more to come 😮
And, when asked what profession he would be in if he wasn't at Buildots, Gus fancies his chances of being a professional Padel player. Who's up for a game?🏓
Happy Friday! Our UK employees had an axe-ellent time at our team bonding event this week where we took to the throwing cages and proved how well we can hit our targets 😉

Three years at Buildots, Amir remains deeply dedicated to bridging the construction industry’s data gap. Our specialist for latest delay risk mitigation features and on-site short-term planning, he is always quick at identifying common, daily construction site challenges and tackles them head on with cutting-edge technology. 💪
Beyond the tech world, Amir is a dedicated family man with three kids and a newly adopted furry friend named Joey. 🐾 Over the past 30 years, he’s been acing the game of tennis 🎾 while adding a green touch by growing veggies. His Twitter bio says it all – “I grow mangos, kids, and products - not necessarily in that exact order.” 🌱👨👩👧👦 😁

Say hello to Sophie Morris, one of Buildots’ first ever UK employee and Head of Customer Success.
Since Sophie joined the company in 2019 with nothing but a hot desk and a passion for construction, she has built up a team of 15 professionals around the globe who are all helping to deliver the best service for our clients. Coming from a construction background and experiencing the reality on-site first hand, Sophie has been a great fit for our mission to improve on-site efficiency and productivity across the industry 🏗️.
Born and raised in Paris by English parents, Sophie has made her mark on both the UK and FR markets, helping construction professionals to improve their on-site operations in both regions. When asked where her personal loyalty lies regarding her heritage, Sophie said that a French baguette beats a sausage roll any day, so that settles that 🇫🇷 🥖!
When she’s not taking the industry by storm, Sophie can be found teaching or practicing yoga, rowing down the River Thames or taking a long walk to enjoy the beauty that nature has to offer 🚣🧘🌳.
Sophie has been a hugely important part of Buildots’ journey to date, and has forged long lasting relationships with many of our key clients, helping them to mitigate the common inefficiencies experienced on construction sites 🚧.
Introducing Tommy Cooke, Senior Solution Consultant at Buildots 🏗️
Tommy’s career journey is as diverse as it is inspiring. 🌟 He began in broadcasting 🎥 , co-founded a tech-based video editing business, and ventured into the property sector with his wife, Chloe 🏡, setting up a design and build firm in London.
As the third UK employee at Buildots, Tommy plays a vital role in our sales team, helping the construction industry embrace performance-driven technology. 📊
Outside of work, he’s a dedicated dad, coaches his daughter’s U14 football team ⚽, and participates in charity runs, such as the recent Royal Parks Half Marathon on behalf of the charity Shelter. 🏃♂️
