2025 - lego hearts advent calendar - day 25 - 'the mystery of the missing red mitten' the entire moc, 24 pairs of mittens and their snowman in another lifetime, i was a teacher-librarian and kindergarten teacher but my favourite part of the job was children's literature. steven kellogg wrote and illustrated a delightful story in 1974, in black and white, with a bit of red, about a young girl annie, and her dog oscar. annie has once again lost her red mitten for the nth time this week, and she vividly imagines the most exciting locations for her lost mitten while looking for it. finally she gives up and while enjoying hot cocoa in the kitchen, she sees the snowman they built earlier melting slowly, and she discovers a wonderful surprise location for her missing mitten. the book was reissued years later as the full colour version but i have chosen to depict the original. the final build for this year's #buildtogive theme 'hearts'. #lego #AFOL #legoinstagram #legoinstgrm #legostagram #bricks #legoworld #toyphotography #toystagram #legophotography #legoaddict #bricknetwork #legofan #legomania #legomoc #legobricks #classiclego #legoclassic #toyartistry_lego #legodesign #buildingsblockd #legochristmas #christmas #legoholidays #legoadventcalendar #legohearts #buildtogive #mittens #snowman
