🌟 Team Spotlight: Gord Cooke If you’ve ever heard someone make building science actually make sense, there’s a good chance it was Gord Cooke. As President of Building Knowledge Canada, Gord brings decades of hands-on experience, deep technical knowledge, and a talent for turning complex concepts into practical, job-site-ready advice. From HVAC and high performance homes to teaching builders across North America, Gord’s passion for better buildings (and better questions) shows up in everything he does. Equal parts educator, problem-solver, and industry cheerleader, he’s always pushing the bar higher. This year also marks an incredible milestone: Gord’s 40th year in the building industry. Four decades of learning, teaching, and working alongside builders to close the gap between theory and what actually works on site. That perspective shows up in everything he shares—grounded, practical, and focused on better-performing homes. Gord recently reflected on that journey and what it takes to improve building performance: listening to real jobsite challenges, asking better questions, and staying committed to continuous learning. 🎥 Check out the @ConstructionInstruction video with Gord to hear more from his 40-year journey and the lessons that continue to shape how we build better today (see link in bio).
