Builde began with a shared vision between two university friends who believed there had to be a better way to do building surveying.
John Athanasiou and Mark Rechichi met while studying at Swinburne University. From the outset, they saw the challenges facing the industry - complex processes, fragmented communication, and a lack of truly collaborative service. They knew they could offer something different.
In 2007, after years of hands-on experience across the field, they founded Builde: a company built on trust, clarity, and a people-first approach to compliance. They weren’t just starting a business - they were reshaping how building surveying could be done.
