Back in 2010, brothers Nithin Kamath and Nikhil Kamath started @zerodhaonline with a simple idea: Make stock market investing affordable and accessible for everyone in India. At a time when traditional brokers were charging high fees and spending heavily on marketing, Zerodha took a completely different route. No flashy campaigns. No aggressive advertising. No VC funding. Instead, they focused on building trust, educating users, and creating a product people genuinely loved using. One of their smartest moves was launching Varsity a free learning platform that taught millions of Indians about trading and investing. They didn’t just acquire users. They created informed users. Another surprising move? Zerodha charged an account opening fee even when competitors were offering free signups. Why? Because they wanted serious, high-intent customers instead of vanity numbers. And because the company was bootstrapped, they had the freedom to grow sustainably without pressure from investors chasing hypergrowth. Today, Zerodha is one of India’s biggest brokerage platforms built profitably, without spending crazy amounts on marketing. The biggest lesson from Zerodha 👇 A remarkable product with real trust can outperform massive ad budgets. 3 takeaways every founder should steal: 1️⃣ Teach before you sell 2️⃣ Focus on retention over hype 3️⃣ Build for long-term sustainability Which bootstrapped founder should I break down next? 👀 #Zerodha #NikhilKamath #NithinKamath #StartupIndia #Bootstrapped FounderLessons Entrepreneurship BusinessStrategy BuildInPublic Sta

Are you building a startup for the right reasons? Before you dive in, make sure you understand the harsh realities of founder life: You aren’t just “the boss”: You are actually accountable to your customers, your investors, and your team. Balance comes later: In the early years, your startup is a “hungry baby” that will demand everything from you. Rejection is constant: You need a thick skin because you will hear “no” from the market, investors, and customers on a daily basis. Remember, this isn’t just a career choice; it’s a lifestyle. If any of these red flags sound like you, don’t start! #StartupFounders #Hustle #FounderJourney #Build3

Goa’s startup community may not make news the way Bangalore or Mumbai does. But it’s here. It’s real. And it’s hungry. We brought @razorpay Conclave to Goa to meet these founders and brought with it the one conversation every founder can’t afford to ignore right now - building in the age of AI. 40+ founders joined in to prove that Goa isn’t just a beach destination anymore. It’s a launchpad and a growing one at it! @razorpayx @razorpayrize @build3.startupstudio @ayush.bansal13 , Subhash Dawda, Nipun Jain, @sushmit.sengupta @heyvarunchawla @dhasnigdha @mr.partyhunt #RazorpayX #RazorpayConclave #GoaEdition2026

Three masterclasses, one fireside and 40+ founders who showed up to build smarter. @heyvarunchawla , @mr.partyhunt & @dhasnigdha brought ground reality to the fireside - an honest, unfiltered conversation on how AI is already reshaping the way companies are built, funded, and run. Not what’s coming. What’s already here. @ayush.bansal13 broke down what scale actually demands from a founder and why the frameworks that got you here need a serious relook when you’re growing fast in the age of AI. Nipun made a strong case for getting the boring stuff right early. Structure, pitch, story, the foundation that either saves you or costs you a billion later. Subhash flipped the conversation on spend entirely. It’s never about cutting costs, it’s about knowing exactly where every rupee is working for you. He got into how RazorpayX’s Agentic Business Banking Platform is helping founders automate the financial backend they’ve always been stuck managing manually, so they can focus on what actually moves the business. Goa showed up. Onto the next one! @razorpax @razorpayrize @build3.startupstudio @teatrunk @partyhunt.goa #RazorpayX #RazorpayConclave #GoaEdition2026

3 Signs You Shouldn’t Start Up Starting a company is not a career choice. It’s a lifestyle and it’s not for everyone. 🛑 If you’re looking for a title to put on LinkedIn or a 9-to-5 schedule, save yourself the heartbreak. Being a founder means: Being a servant to your team and customers. Losing sleep over a “hungry baby” of a business. Developing skin thick enough to hear “No” 100 times a day. Are you in it for the right reasons? Comment “READY” if you’re in it for the long run. 🏃‍♂️💨 #FounderMindset #EntrepreneurLife #StartupReality #Build3 #GrowthMindset

The biggest lie we are sold is that a degree is a safety net. We spend four years (and a lot of money) learning how to memorize frameworks, pass standardized tests, and color inside the lines. We are trained, very effectively, to be predictable. But the moment you step out of the classroom and try to build something of your own, you realize the syllabus is fundamentally broken. The market doesn’t care about your GPA. It cares about your execution. If you want to actually build wealth and create impact from the ground up, you have to master the 3 skills no professor will ever put on a whiteboard: 1️⃣ How to Sell (The Art of Conviction) You can build the most innovative, disruptive product on the planet but if you can’t look someone in the eye and convince them to part with their hard-earned money, you don’t have a business. You have a hobby. Selling isn’t about manipulation; it’s about transferring your absolute conviction to someone else. It is the lifeblood of every venture. 2️⃣ How to Eat Rejection for Breakfast In college, failing a test is a tragedy. In business, failing is just a Tuesday. You will pitch, you will launch, and you will hear “NO” hundreds of times. The real world doesn’t give participation trophies. You have to learn how to detach your ego from the rejection, analyze the feedback, and relentlessly keep going when everyone else would quit. 3️⃣ How to Take Calculated Risks The traditional education system is designed to punish mistakes. It wires you to play it entirely safe and take the predictable path. But the market disproportionately rewards those who step into the unknown. Playing it safe is actually the riskiest thing you can do today. A degree gets your foot in the door, but your grit dictates the size of the room you end up in. Real education doesn’t end at graduation it starts the second you tear up the traditional script and start building your own path. What was the absolute hardest real-world lesson you had to learn after leaving college? Let’s talk about it in the comments. 👇 #Entrepreneurship #RealWorldEducation #StartupMindset #SalesStrategy #FounderJourney GrowthMindset BusinessTruths B

Everyone talks about startup success. Funding rounds. Valuations. Headlines. But nobody talks about what it actually gives you. In big companies, you learn how to manage growth. In startups, you learn how to create it from zero. No roadmap. No safety net. No one telling you “this is the right way.” Just problems. Real ones. Every single day. You build when things don’t make sense. You decide when you’re not ready. You take responsibility when things break. And slowly… something shifts. You stop waiting for opportunities. You start creating them. Because startups don’t give you comfort. They give you ownership. They give you speed. They give you impact. And once you experience that… It’s very hard to go back to just “doing your job.” That’s why builders choose startups. Not because it’s easy. But because it changes who you become.
