This is Junie.
He appeared at a roadside carnival for exactly 3 nights before the carnival disappeared…..
Nobody remembers buying him. He just sort of ends up in people’s homes?
His fabric is warm even when the room is cold….
Junie likes the following things…
-wet gravel
- expired candy
-flickering hallway lights
- and songs playing faintly through broken speakers
Every button on his body has been replaced at least once except for the blue one on his stomach. Do not remove it.
He does not blink, but people insist they’ve seen him squint.
Children love him immediately. Cats usually leave the room.
If you wake up and find him facing your bed instead of the shelf, it means he had a bad dream. You should apologize softly and turn on a lamp for a while.
He smells faintly of attic dust and burned sugar.
Junie does NOT like being packed away in boxes. The last person who tried said they could hear tiny scratches in the walls at night afterward.
But he means well.
