We’re excited to welcome our friends from Jupiter Wine Co this Tuesday, May 12th. Thomas DeBiase will be at Chavez from 4-6 to pour special bottles, talk about their wines, and hang out.
100% of Jupiter’s net proceeds support affordable housing initiatives for vineyard workers, so stop by to share a glass and support their amazing work!
Our featured nonprofit for the month of May is Workers Defense Project. Founded in 2002, Workers Defense Project is a statewide, member-led organization that organizes alongside Latine immigrant workers across Texas to fight for dignity, respect, and safer, more equitable working conditions.
What began as an effort to support construction workers facing wage theft has grown into a powerful force advocating for worker and immigrant justice at the local, state, and national level. Grounded in values of accountability, dignity, love, respect, and solidarity, Workers Defense Project works to build collective power by advancing labor protections, immigrant rights, and policies that improve conditions for all working people.
As a reminder, throughout the month, $1 from every glass of house wine sold during happy hour at both locations will be donated to support their work.
Swipe to learn more about some of their current initiatives!
Chef wants to remind y’all that while we may not have margaritas, we’ve got a pretty sweet selection of Mexican wines available for celebrating today. See you at 4!
Vodka Pie Hallelujah
A moment for a favorite across both locations. Plus, it pairs perfectly with added mushrooms or sausage for a little something extra.

April’s Org of the Month is the Austin Justice Coalition. AJC is a community organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for Black, Brown, and marginalized individuals.
AJC works to create meaningful change in communities of color through policy reform and advocacy, using insights and experience gained from their previous work to drive impact at both the community and government levels.
Their vision is to create a just and equitable society where historically marginalized communities have the resources, opportunities, and power to thrive. $1 from every glass of house wine sold during happy hour goes to help further this mission, so stop by either location before the month is over!
Meet the (real) Pie of the Month at Due! The Al Pastor Pie has black beans, mozzarella, parm cotija, serrano, onion, cilantro, and al pastor. Available only through April!
