I went to a screening of the brilliant documentary 'We Won't Be Silent: resisting the UK's arms trade with Israel' last night at @oldpalesteinehouse in Brighton.
The film explores & exposes the military-industrial-complex that enables the genocide in Palestine. The film also explores how we can resist these systems of harm through marches, protests, direct action, dancing & music.

Yesterday two people held a symbolic action in the dock outside DSEI Arms Fair on Migrant Justice Day.
This arms fair is one of the largest in the world and facilitates border violenc3.
Surveillance software, b0mbs, missiles, tanks, drones etc that are in the Excel Centre right now are used to commit war crimes, genoc1de, the murd3r of innocent people and other atrocities.
“Defence” is used as an alibi to allow violence and enables the economic domination of a few rich elites. Influential billionaires blame migrants for our worsening living conditions in the UK rather than addressing inequality and poverty.
Intensifying border controls is one of the biggest markets for weapons. Profits are made from selling weap0ns to inflict v1olence on people and land grab. When they flee for their lives the same violent technologies, companies and policies then prevent them from escaping to safety. Evilll
Borders are considered double business opportunities… companies sell weapons used on people/homes and sell ‘solutions’ to migration (surveillence/ armed guards/ walls etc.) as people flee violence.
Freedom of Movement is a human right and protects people against this horrific business of w3apons and v1olent militarised border controls.
The military is one of the most environmentally damaging industries and biggest carbon emitters which drives climate and ecological breakdown.
We’re all in the same boat; the Climate Crisis knows no borders. So ecological v1olence had better be the business of everyone if we wanna protect ourselves and future generations.
While Arms dealers, delegates and military officials browse the latest ma33 mu3rd3r technology… drones t3rrorise Pal3t1n1ans by dropping b0mb3 and evacuation leaflets ordering them to leave their homes and be forcibly displaced.
Big up to the Global Sumud Flotilla - which in the last few days has faced air strikes (from drones more than likely being exhibited at DSEI) while they attempt to sail to Gaza to deliver aid.

UK Gov are 2nd biggest 💣 dealers in the world (BBC, 2020).
UK Gov sells many many billions £££ worth of 💣 each year (House Of Commons Library, 2023).
The Human Rights Acts are designed to protect people, including the children of Gaza (Article 2: Right to life | EHRC).
It is dangerous that legal infrastructure is trying to label Human Rights Act1v1sts as T3rror1sts.
It undermines basic civil liberties - Right to Pr0t3st/ Freedom of Expression (Article 10 & 11 | EHRC).
Peaceful Pr0t3st keeps us safe and allows us to hold the Gov to account (for ❌ ☠️ of our fellow peoples etc. )
