The process of writing songs is a very profound gift sometimes. Songs can act as strange little bookmarks that remind you of God’s working in your life during a specific moment in time. Parts of this song are over a decade old, milled over for years. And then parts of this song are brand new and freshly expectant. I remember the first time we led this song at church my granddad was watching from his hospital bed, raising his hands in worship right before he went home to be with the Lord. And then I also remember @brantley.pollock sending me a text that his 2 year old kept sweetly singing the chorus in the car. From one end of life to the other, this particular song has felt as much for me as anyone, whether leading it on Easter morning or shouting it in my car on a random Tuesday night. I pray that God continues to use it as a bookmark of His faithfulness for others as it has been for me. Happy listening.
