After 10 years together… we’re finally married and a Husband & Wife duo 💍🥂✨ From the moment we met, something in our souls just knew. Over the past decade, we’ve lived a lifetime of love… capturing over 100 weddings and soul unions, dreaming up countless ventures, living the wild and free nomadic camper life, traveling the world, building and rebuilding, holding each other through every fall, every rise, every rebirth. We’ve seen each other through the craziest party phases, surf & motorbike accidents, grief, deep healing & transformation. And somehow, through it all, our love didn’t just survive, it evolved. This past Wednesday, with only our family by our side, we exchanged vows at The Landing at Beach House - the most magical, emotional, heart-opening moment of our lives. A sacred promise sealed not only in front of loved ones, but with the blessing of the ocean, the sun, fireworks, and Glo’s grandparents, who traveled from Hong Kong to witness this moment. Our rings hold deep spiritual meaning — the “Ring of Destiny” — as our Gene Keys life work are 34 (Glo) and 43 (Jo). The book says these keys are bound in destiny, and we’ve never resonated with anything more. We’ve always felt married in spirit, but this sacred pause marked something eternal and beyond. A heartfelt thank you to our dear friend Henry from @eventfuledits for crafting this emotional highlight reel that lets us relive this chapter again and again. [ 0 1 1 2 2 4 || s a c r e d u n i o n o f j o & g l o ] 5 months ago & 9 years later, we FINALLY officially got engaged in the beautiful tropical island of Japan, Okinawa. 🤍 1. Jo & Glo is finally engaged! 💍 2. A magical ray of light beam shining through as we made our way to a private and secluded beach to supposedly catch sunset.✨ 3. I was stunned by the golden glow at the beach while Jo was calculating how much time + light he had left to find the perfect spot to set up the tripod and record him proposing to me. 4. Jo purposely got me thinking we were filming travel content as we were setting up tripod and recording our travels everyday. I was super confused when I turned around and saw Jo on the ground. It took me a good 15 seconds to finally realize Jo was proposing at that moment. 5. 💍 + 🍜 = best day ever 6 + 7. Few days later and in Jo & Glo’s fashion, we found a local tattoo artist @rayink to tattoo us both a simple yet meaningful wedding band on the Island. 8. On the same day, we visited a nearby island called Kouri Island and serendipitously found out the island is referred locally as “Love Island”. 9. Okinawan folklore has it that at the birth of mankind the island was home to two lovers, who lived in a sea cave. Adding to this romantic imagery, two heart-shaped rocks rise out of the sea at Tinu Beach. 🫶🏼 10. Okinawa will forever have a special place in our heart! 🌊 Close friends wondered why haven’t we posted about our engagement yet and to be honest, we’ve been putting it aside for the last while as I feel like this news is almost paradoxical for us to share. At weddings, we often got asked if we’re a married couple and we always say not officially yet but we feel like we are at heart. So no doubt this news might come as a surprise to many of you that once thought we were a husband & wife team or “I thought you two were already married.” because our hearts truly felt like it is a sacred union of two souls since day 1, just without the “paper”. As a full time wedding photographer couple, finding time to put our work aside and be fully present with one another was a challenge for us until we promised ourselves that we needed to prioritize and put our relationship first. If we didn’t take care of our own love, who would? For us, that means choosing a time and setting an alarm for it. Once it goes off, we have 10 mins to wrap everything up so we can sit with each other and be present in the moment. — Hong Kong — We can’t wait to be back end of the year. This time to celebrate Glo’s grandparents’ 60th anniversary. HOW SWEET IS THAT!? The entire family is flying “home” to be together… Us and my fam from YVR, cousins from the UK. My grandparents never had a wedding, so we’re giving them one. For the first time in all of our lives, every single one of us will be in the same place… and it will be the most heartfelt, most cherished moment we’ve ever shared. 2025 will forever hold a special place in our hearts, not just because of the dream weddings we were honored to capture, but because this was the year we got married too. @infraredi sent us their Infraredi Pro Max and we’ve been feeling the benefits after only a month! We’ve been using our new red light panel for 10-15 minutes before bed and we pass out as soon as we hit the bed! 😴 And also a few minutes right after waking up especially during these gloomy winter months ☁️ Red light therapy treatments were developed by NASA in the 90’s as what can best be described as a happy accident. Now, these medical-grade red light therapy devices can be operated by literally anybody to help assist with personal wellness. Too many health benefits to count but the 3 that really stand out so far are the tightening of our facial skin from the increased collagen production, better sleep, and optimum muscle recovery. Hong Kong 90’s Infernal Affairs film vibes ✨ Our friend @adrianjng.photography literally made our vision come true and captured us so incredibly on the streets of Mong Kwok. We started the shoot at midnight where all the fruit vendors would start preparing shipments the night before and start selling early morning. This shoot was definitely so special because it was taken place where Glo was born. Our inner rebels were saying HELL YES 🔥 to create such badass moments in HK as if we were secretly running away from home to meet up at the fruit stall pass midnight so we weren’t caught! Thank you for capturing our crazy wild love story Adrian! PS.. we do not smoke and only used it as a prop during this shoot. So here we are channeling our 19yo bad kids rebel vibe 😅🔥💨

/ W I L D & F R E E there is really no better words to describe Jo & Glo and even no better photographers to capture our engagement photos & the essence of US than our beloved @samandlarissa_ 🤍 🐚A back story behind this beautiful set: The Universe serendipitously brought us 4 souls together through Instagram back in 2020 when us two couples were travelling in our camper van during the crazy pandemic times. We quickly connected through our shared love for travel photography, camper van, vegan & sustainable lifestyle and we would have numerous late night 3+ hours long FaceTime calls before we even met in person over the years. Due to our shared passion for love & photography, we then both unintentionally became a wedding photographer duo one after another and we literally live a parallel life, one in Canada and another in Europe. Though sadly also because of the same reason, Facetime is the only way for us to meet. Until last year fall, S & L decided to come visit us in Vancouver before they purchased a camper van and made their way down South to spend their winter in Mexico. It was surreal for all of us to finally meet in person after being “internet friends” for 4 years but we felt like we’ve known for many life times and beyond. Our one week of hosting turned into 4 weeks of spending the greatest time in each other’s love and presence. We then sadly said our goodbyes to continue our winter travels, us in SE asia and them in Mexico. If there is a will, there is always a way. We all felt the urge to meet up before we returned home to start our wedding season separately. This year in February, they flew all the way from Mexico to meet up with us in Bali and celebrated our engagement✨Though our time in Bali wasn’t the smoothest ride as many of you already knew, Jo and I fell off our motorbike where we both injured our left legs and went through 3 weeks of deep healing in Ubud, Bali. Sam & Larissa were our guardian angels that send us to the near by hospital to get ourselves treated and stitched up. Long story short, they really took care of us and were there for us when we needed help the most and we’re forever grateful for these two! [cont’ in comment]

There is always more to Travelling than all the fun stuff that we all portray and choose to showcase… there can be visa issues, flights delay, Bali belly / foreign stomach flu, sickness, injuries, motorbike accidents, maybe even losing valuable things or getting pickpocketed. But what makes Travelling so fun and adventurous is the unknown of what’s gonna happen on the road. It’s almost like signing up for a whole package deal with surprise bonuses that would pop up unexpectedly. It is never only the destination, it is also the process along the way… the good and the not so good that makes up the whole experience and what makes travelling even more exciting! Here’s the story of how we turn our dreams into a reality and why YOU can do it too!! ✨ In the past, we both found ourselves unsure of our future. But we knew the one thing we both were passion about was travel. We’ve always felt how big the planet was with so little time for us to see it all. Our family always told us to go with the safe route in life. Stay in our hometown and work in stable careers. But we knew that wasn’t what we wanted. We dreamt of all the places we wanted to go together and would journal them in our notebooks. We went on google to look at the world map and zoomed in all the way to see the street view. We were always drawn by the many many cultures of the world and wanted to experience them all in person. It wasn’t until the global pandemic hit that we were forced to find income to sustain ourselves. We were also exposed to the Japanese concept of “Ikigai” during that time. This Japanese philosophical term that breaks into “iki” meaning “alive” and “gai” meaning “worth”. These phrases together refer to what gives your life value, meaning, or purpose. So we thought about our life’s worth and stumbled upon destination wedding photography. Photography has always been something that made us feel alive and it allowed us to work while also traveling. We kept our head down over the last 3 years, stayed low key, and grinded with a laser focus. We turned down a lot of hang outs with friends because we knew this so important to us. And most of them knew this as well. This deep belief in ourselves and consistency in action had gotten us to building our dream life of travel and purpose. And we believe YOU can do the same. You just have to stick to it long enough and keep going even when you don’t think it’s moving. And realized that growth is exponential, not linear. We made it happen.. so.. YOU.. CAN.. TOO..!!
