Music is the frequency of my gratitude. As I search for the perfect sound, notes, beats and moreā¦in the abstract or from the earth, I only hope to get it right. These 2 drum wizards DO get it right!! The incredibly talented and funny @gerrygibbsthethrasher along with the musical/drum hero @drummermikeclark have a discussion that brings me such humility and joy. Watch then go look both these cats up if for some reason you live under rocksā¦And letās all SERIOUSLY wish Brother Gerry Gibbs healing energy in the upcoming weeks. Love you, Gerry!

Roscoe Beckā¦the great bassist and producer, teaches a master class on the art of the bassline accompanied by long-time friend and colleague, Robben Ford, on guitar.
Back in 2011, Roscoe calls me up and asks me to come record a track. I had no idea it would be to accompany a pre-existing video that these guys had done to a click track. When I tell you they were spot on, I mean it! LOCKED! Incredible feel! The late great master engineer, Chet Himes recorded me. I wanna say I did 3 or 4 passes? I think this was take 3? Nothing was comped or pieced together. Even though you canāt see me Iām very proud of this! Note: Please forgive the screen recording where you can see me hit āplayā. I wanted to get the lead in roll as the video faded in. This has been on YouTube for years but I just felt compelled to post it. Side note: I was in Robbenās touring band for several years prior to this video. Roscoe and I play together nearly monthly!
I believe this master class is available exclusively through The Music Path iPad app. #chethimes #fender #sabian #brannentemple #grateful #brothers
