We’re closing out 2024 with the launch of our newest collection: the Bloc Wall Sconce, the first release in the Bloc series of wall lights and pendants.
Machined from solid brass and available in a range of refined finishes, Bloc embodies the B-TD approach to design—distilling form to its purest, most essential expression.
Seen here in blackened brass.
BLOC Collection
Shown as part of MAKING LIGHT for Melbourne Design Week 2026.
BLOC collection brings together the Bloc Pendant and Bloc Wall Sconce.
Crafted from precisely machined blocks of aluminium or brass, Bloc is defined by clean intersecting forms and a refined architectural presence.

CARST Collection
Shown as part of MAKING LIGHT for Melbourne Design Week 2026
CARST collection brings together the CARST Pendant and CARST Wall Sconce.
Carved + Cast = CARST
Each piece begins with a hand-carved aerated concrete block, used to create a cast in solid aluminium. Once formed, the raw cast is refined by hand, with polished edges creating a contrast against the textured body.

MAKING LIGHT | Melbourne Design Week 2026
A showcase of new lighting works designed & produced in our Melbourne studio.
The exhibition will take the form of an immersive installation, bringing together new lighting works that mark the latest developments of the range, shown publicly for the first time.
Designed and produced in Melbourne, this exhibition reflects the ongoing dialogue between industrial precision and hand craftsmanship that underpins the B-TD studio. It is an opportunity for the design community and the wider public to see the level of flexibility, skill, and material integrity that local manufacturing makes possible.
