10 years since we left Upton Park
I’d still love to see some of those old burger vans and stands brought back to fill that empty walk to the stadium with a little bit of character. I also miss £3 burgers instead of £12 “gourmet ones”
I tend to avoid Westfield on match days at all costs.
The process of the move was exciting - I remember taking my dad to pick our new seats virtually and I do really like my current seat - but for a lot of the stadium you can’t say the same.
The atmosphere on an average game is incomparable. Although my greatest games I’ve ever witnessed have all happened at the LS and when that place is roaring it is something else!
But those heavy defeats hurt more as this huge stadium empties. “London” on the badge, Pretzels and Popcorn, overpriced food and drinks, sometimes it feels like I’m at the O2 not my football club.
I’ve had my season ticket 11.5 years now, no regrets. COYI
