TL/DR; Check out our BSNC FUBU Statement. Link in bio.
This has been a long time coming. With everything that’s happened recently in the Nation, in our home state, and in our city, the BSNC Leadership team has decided today is the day to share this.
We’re open to having conversation to ensure that our statement is received in the manner in which its intended. Click the link in our bio or the link on lintr.ee/bsncphilly to get caught up.
We serve community. We stay true to our and our neighbors needs. We welcome all neighbors, businesses, institutions and organizations who resonate with who we are and what we stand for.
🚨 New reporting confirms a data center may be coming to Philly. Developers won’t confirm or deny plans for a massive data center in the Bellwether District, leaving our communities in the dark.
Data centers are monstrous facilities that guzzle electricity and water, pollute the air, raise utility bills, empower authoritarian billionaires, and drain local economies to power AI tools that further enrich billionaires at our expense.
Tell City Council: No predatory data centers in Philly. Sign the petition today!

WILL YOU JOIN US?
It's May Day, and the 1st testimony called by the 5th District Councilman @councilmemberjyoungjr for all libraries. A 5th district library, the Cecil B Moore Library, was recently downgraded from a 10.2million project to a 2million one. WHY? Only the 5th district councilman Jeffery Young Jr. has councilmanic perogative to make that call. The downsize was NOT informed by the community. Join us today at City Hall room 400 at 10am to pushback and demand the full funding, and the full renovation IMMEDIATELY! #DemandMOORE #cecilbmoore #BSNC #bsncphilly #community #strongertogether
PHILLY WE NEED YOU TO COME OUT TOMORROW April 30 at 3:30. School District of Philadelphia. We’ll be there even if no one can speak and even if they change the time of the meeting. SEE YOU THERE! #standupforphillyschools #phillyschools #phillyparents #noschoolclosures #publiceducation
🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨
Philly students deserve investment, not closures.
A select few in District administration are pushing permanent school closures despite overwhelming community opposition — without full funding for promised improvements, and with Black students bearing the brunt.
Nearly 32% of the District’s 2024 budget went to charter payments, yet closures target only District-run schools.
Moratorium on school closures. Fund schools.
Investment, not displacement.
‼️🚨Philadelphia families are being rushed into one of the biggest school decisions in years. The district is moving toward a vote on school closings without giving communities enough time to review the updated plan or organize a real response.
We need to act NOW. Flood City Council with calls and emails demanding an immediate moratorium on school closings until there is a fair, transparent, community-driven process.
