In celebration of all the motherly figures in our lives who have given us life, an identity, courage, language, traditions, a safe space and abilities to dream beyond our wildest imaginations. A long history of resilience braided into each strand of hair as a reminder to live to our fullest potential. Happy International Women’s Day❣️

don’t tell me that you model if you ain’t been in vogue! 💅🏾 new city: the search for home (an ode to the people of nawanshahr, punjab) we got featured via @vogueitalia ♥️ this series is a long-time coming and we can't believe we finally get to share it!  new city - nawanshahr - ਨਵਾਂ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ is a district in punjab. founded by settlers migrating from nearby towns and pre-partition punjab. our goal was to capture the essence, the style, and the coolness that our parents and elders would carry in their day-to-day. ways in which they adapted to their new homes. we wanted to catch them in their element and in their potential. i grew up with my family, many of them who are blue-collared workers, expressing themselves through streetwear brands. a lot of my style inspo is derived from their wardrobe, stealing pieces from their closets and hoping to ooze the same effortless drip that they possess. 😅 each person featured is a member of our family, who have at one point called nawanshahr home. each with countless stories to share. the first image featured is of mohinder singh nagra and surinder kaur nagra, two people who have literally introduced us to streetwear brands while working for several years at si vous play (iykyk!!). these two are your fav neighbourhood grandparents. ♥️ pardeep singh nagra is an @adidas fanatic & pretty much owns a piece from every collection out there! he’s an athelete, activist & educator. gurdev kaur pabla was born in pre-partition western punjab, india (now known as punjab, pakistan). she’s the boldest bibi on the block. she knows what she wants 💅🏾 davinder kaur + hargurjit singh are your filmi couple goals. they don’t go anywhere w/o matching one another. ♥️ jeet kaur is your traditional, sweet bibi, who enjoys tending to her garden in her fav fila sneakers. joni rai is your sassy queen. she’s tapped in on the latest trends and a bit of a shopaholic 🤑😂 manga rai is the don. he runs the streets with his 18 wheeler & his fav hoodies 🛻 @bythekollective creative director: @kay__ray ph: @bsinghh stylist: @gagan.k.bassi #vogue #vogueitalia

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝗮𝗷𝗮𝗻𝘀⁣ 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝟮𝟬𝘁𝗵–𝟮𝟯𝗿𝗱, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱⁣ ⁣ One year ago in Sayulita, surrounded by the people we love most, a weekend began that we will carry with us forever.⁣ ⁣ It became something even more special than we imagined, watching our loved ones fill the streets with vibrant smiles, warm wishes, and open hearts. What stays with us most is the feeling of being together, the kind of joy that only exists when so many people you love gather in one place.⁣ ⁣ We are endlessly grateful to our family, friends, and the incredible team of vendors whose care, talent, and generosity helped shape that weekend.⁣ ⁣ Just a few moments from a celebration we will never forget.⁣ ⁣ “𝘛𝘰𝘨𝘦𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘪𝘴 𝘢 𝘣𝘦𝘢𝘶𝘵𝘪𝘧𝘶𝘭 𝘱𝘭𝘢𝘤𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘣𝘦.”⁣ ⁣ Wedding Planner @inspofeliu ⁣ Photographer @bsinghh ⁣ Videographer @insageproduction ⁣ Venues @frentealpunto @donpedros.sayulita @sayulindahotel ⁣ Florist @aluhe.creativestudio ⁣ DJ @aamirm.7 ⁣ Live percussion @vin.rocc Sound & lighting @groovewell_ Catering @honesto.kitchen @donpedros.sayulita ⁣ Fashion @venkmodurstyle @nazranaanj @harleenkaur.us @charuparasharofficial @veronica_tharmalingam @republicbyomarfarooq @sareedrapingbyrupal ⁣ HMU @preptulum ⁣ Mehndi @nohemi_alvarador

For all my photography lovers ~ this was a special one 🎞️🌹 Before even coming to Jaipur, I had been following Surinder and Tikam Chand’s work for years, and to be able to sit in front of their box camera and experience it in person felt really special. The camera has been in their family for three generations, passed down from their grandfather! A craft they’ve kept alive everyday on the streets of Jaipur at their photo stand. Watching them in their flow carefully photographing and developing the images right in front of us made me appreciate analog photography even more. What made it even more meaningful was getting to photograph them afterwards on my own film cameras, both medium format and 35mm and seeing how much they enjoyed being on the other side of the lens. It felt like a beautiful full circle moment we all got to share together. A reminder that photography has always been about more than just the image - it’s about connection, process, and the people who keep it alive. Grateful for this experience, and for artists like them who continue to preserve something so rare. If you’re ever in Jaipur, it’s something you shouldn’t miss. #the_old_photography

2016, the year of full on exploring outside my comfort zone, creating without restrictions, collaborations with my creative community, making iconic series and photos, shooting my first fashion work + wedding on film - what a blessing to have been able to continue in this line of work. this new year about to be good 🫶🏽🎞️🫡🫂🚀💅🏽🤞🏽🧿

No resolutions, just a quiet reminder to carry on but not always calmly of course. Because what fun is there in that? But I am setting an intention this year to prioritize myself more. I’ve actually been working on that for the last couple of years and it turns out that it is not that easy for a people pleaser like me. To keep drinking that water, get in daily exercise & movement, maintain my sleep hygiene, to wear what what feels good, to stare less at the increasing grey hairs & to keep less track of the fine lines. To worry less and to focus more on the present. Which frankly is going to be my life’s work at this rate. So in the not so-famous (& at time slightly annoying] words of my middle kid : “it’s not that deep.” I’m hoping to remind myself that more so I can in fact carry on a little more calmly. What is your intention or word for 2026? #thismamaneedsavacay #canadianblogger 📷 @bsinghh @bythekollective Creative director @kay__ray HMU @sambaalbyjappay
