I want to first send my condolences to Leggo, Sushi, Deejay Nimfo, Slum the Resident, Ash, Kasper and all of Young Bacas family and closest friends.
I dont really post anything personal on social media. For this flyer, i thought and i hope its appropriate to share my experience working with Young Baca.
I was fortunate to have worked with Baca for almost 10 years doing the BSide Forum and a few other projects. Even though we recorded pretty consistently every two weeks for the first 5 years we never got much of a chance to hang out socially. I really thought, as all of us do, that i would get time to correct that some day.
We were always cool with eachother regardless when we saw eachother and even though we only had time for small conversation, we had an understanding in regards to doing the BSide Forum, we both just enjoyed putting the show together. Not many that could combine all the elements it took to do that show like Baca did. He would invite 3 to 5 guests of ALL backgrounds and would demonstrate a combination of interesting topics, personal stories, brief interviews, involve every person at the table, challenge his guests to express themselves all while being Funny as fuck, witty, articulate and knowledgeable. Baca was just a people person and the guests on the show always had a good time.
As the years went on we got to do the show less and less due to different circumstances. But we would always try, even attempting to do the show on different week days. Im sad as fuck that we didn't get to record the show like we first did. Again, i really thought we would get that opportunity one day.
Im sorry we didnt get that chance Baca. Im sorry for a lot of things bro.
No matter what issues ever arose on the show, Baca would always stay positive. Always saying things like "no worries" or "it is what it is" and just encourage to keep moving forward.
Im pissed that this happened to you Baca. Really gonna miss you bro.
Thank you for your friendship and support. You were a busy person and im truly grateful that you took the time to come out and work with us.
You left way too fucken soon bro.
