I know I haven't posted in ages and there is a lot to unpack but I really need to show y'all this precious little thing that I received in the mail today 🥺❤️ So I noticed this on eBay a few days ago and instantly knew it was real bc one of the things I've studied in my life is actually Britney's autographs - call it a passion 🤡 Back to the eBay auction, starting bid 39.99 EUR. I checked who I was dealing with and what else they were selling and it kinda gave me 50+ year old str8 male-vibes, which is a good sign. So I messaged him asking where he got the autograph from and it turns out her label was sending them out to German radio stations at the time, and his was one of them. 😢 Didn't want others to see the auction and start bidding so I sent him a price offer telling him I hate auctions and would rather just buy it right away. He declined the offer (50 EUR), saying it's too low - which OF COURSE it was, but I thought "he's str8" 🤷🏽♂️ Long story short - we ended up agreeing on a price, and all I wanna say is I TRULY won 😭❤️ Among my 4 autographs of hers that I own at the time, this one's my favorite atm 🥰 I love that I finally have her signature on a CD - and not just any CD but her debut. 🥺
Artists Against AIDS Worldwide - "What's Going On" European Vinyl ♥️ Love this powerful song and damn, what a line-up! A who's who of almost all relevant Y2K-acts, minus the Rap God @eminem . Whoever thought Fred Durst would be a better idea. 🤦♂️
Finally here - 20th Anniversary Edition of Britney's debut album "...Baby One More Time" on a picture disc vinyl! 🙌 I loved unpacking this because it really looks like it was made all the way back in the 90s! 😍 I also think this picture of her in the white dress (which was used in Japan and other Asian countries) should've been on the international cover 🤷🏼♂️ Always preferred it over the other too (which I also like) 🤫 Then again - we got 3 different covers for 3 different markets... We won! 🤓
Can you believe it's officially been over 20 years since the release of this classic masterpiece? 🙈 Feels like yesterday when 8 year old me saw the music video for the very first time during some US Top 40-countdown on MTV. Needless to say, it was instant love. 💕 Reaching #1 in every single country it was released in, "...Baby One More Time" is still considered both the best-selling debut by any female artist and the biggest-selling release by a teenage artist in history. While being the oldest Britney vinyl I own, this beauty never left its original shrink wrap and is still in outstanding condition. 🙌
That week in 2009 😭♥️ Probably the best experience I ever had at a Britney concert. The thrill of seeing her again after what was considered the end of her career by the naysayers - indescribable pride. To share that feeling with 2 of my best friends who also stanned Britney since elementary school - a FEELING. It would take 9 years for her to come back to rock that very same arena again!
