After three memorable seasons, my time with the Pistons has come to an end. Part of me feels like my time was cut short, but when I think about the relationships that were built, the impact of the work and the dream I lived, I will forever be grateful for the opportunity.
To work for the team I grew up loving, the team that taught me about the power of sport and the team that introduced me to the culture, was an honor. To share this experience with my fam and be true to myself and my community, by prioritizing Black and Brown creatives and stories, was a dream come true.
If you told 10 year old Bilal that he’d be working for the Pistons one day helping organize the first American Muslim Night, I’d probably think it was as the starting PG. Fell short on my dream to become the first Pakistani American in the NBA but last night made up for it and some. All the love and deepest gratitude to the fam for pulling up for a special night.

And a very special thank you to @nemahsis . Your voice and aura filled the arena with love and light. Thank you for everything.
