Lenore and her two cubs work their way across the estuary in the afternoon sun, watching as a flock of geese take off, spooking the two cubs.
It was worth dragging all our ski gear 150km down a river to be able to access these remote ski lines. This moment will live with me forever.

Polar bear paws are perfectly adapted to the arctic. Their large size helps them maneuver across the snow with ease. Their claws feature an extra point midway to give them another point of contact on the ice. Webbing fills the space between their digits to aid with swimming, and a rough sandpaper- like surface on their pads allows for lots of grip on the ice.
