“What do you think about our times?
What is there left to make surprise?
I see tears behind the eyes I hear lie after lie
I don’t blame you I too don’t feel fine
Unanswered prayers settled in the dust
not worth it not worth
what have we done?
I don’t blame you I too don’t feel fine
But I wake up cuz I don’t want to die
Let it in and take some space to breathe
and lay your head to rest
I’ll find some space for me
give me a little more time to lay my head to rest
and find some space to breathe
find what’s good for me
give me a little more time
a little more time
give me a little more time
I don’t blame you I too don’t feel fine”
First song “Our Times” off my EP “Coming Home” is out today. We recorded this track live late into the night under red light. You hear Nate on drums, Sam on bass, and me on vocals on guitar. I can’t thank Sam Blasucci enough for elevating all of these songs. He listened to all my demos then added honey and ginger and all of his experience. Thank you to Travis Frost for creating a studio with limitless soundscapes. Mixed by Travis Frost, mastered by Jason Mariani.

Starring my friends 🥲 who graciously agreed to be my last minute muses. Special shoutout to my favorite dancer and renaissance man, Nestór, who danced an adapted version of the traditional baile de tabla inspired by his hometown Lombardía, Michoacán 🇲🇽

I’m very happy to announce the ꧁REAL LIFE THING LIVE CONCERT FILM꧂ premiering in Los Angeles on March 20th at 2220 Arts. Here is the trailer for this project that Bryce Makela and I started working on years ago now, finally ready to be out in the world. This album doesn’t feel complete without this visual companion piece, and I’m so grateful to everyone involved for turning all these songs into 𝓡eal 𝓛ife 𝓘hings 𓆙
One of my favorites, @maiden__china will perform a special set at the premiere to start off the evening, followed by the screening of the film. Tickets are available now through the link in my bio.
The film was shot entirely at Carbonite Sound in Ojai, CA with our amazing sound and film crew, and edited/colored by Bryce Makela and myself. The film runs like a sort of musical play with stagehands, set changes, and different scenes for each song, including alternate verses and extended versions of some of the songs on the record.
Special shout out to these legends that made the film what it is:

Don’t miss your chance to see it on the big screen! Get your tickets!

A while back my friend Justin asked me if I wanted to be featured on his tumblr account and he had me at tumblr. Justin asks his friends who write/play music to draw something on this guitar and sing a couple songs. He calls it Homie Guitar and I tried to draw a T- Rex. On a quiet Ojai summer evening, Justin, Jake, and I climbed down to the river and recorded a couple songs. An original of mine “Drink Your Honey” and John Prine’s version of “Clay Pigeons”. Honored to be a part of all the artists that have played their songs on this guitar. Link to Homie Guitar in bio.
