Dear High School Basketball, This is it. The final whistle has blown, the last game has been played, and the chapter has officially closed. It’s hard to put into words what this journey has meant to me, but here I am, trying to do just that.
To my family , my dad , my mom , my brothers , and my sisters , and most importantly God and to all the coaches who pushed me, challenged me, and believed in me—even when I struggled to believe in myself—thank you. You saw something in me and never let me settle for anything less than my best. The long practices, the tough losses, the endless drills, the sacrifices—they were never easy, but they were always worth it. Every sprint, every extra rep, every moment of doubt shaped me into the player and person I am today.
To my teammates, my brothers, the ones who fought beside me on the court, thank you for making every moment unforgettable. We went through the ups and downs together, and no matter where life takes us, the bond we built will always remain.
Now, as I step into this new chapter—taking my game to the D1 level—I know this is just the beginning. The grind doesn’t stop here; it only gets harder, but I wouldn’t want it any other way. I’m ready to rise to the challenge, to prove that all the sweat and sacrifice weren’t just for high school banners, but for something even bigger.
So, to high school basketball—thank you. For the lessons, the memories, the love for the game that will never fade. You were my foundation, my proving ground, and because of you, I’m only going up from here.
With gratitude,
BC
