It was midnight. We would wipe our hands of crawfish every time we grabbed an 8lbs ball. There were families everywhere, the lanes were packed. I got last place, so next time I'm going Tonya Harding on Pablo. I think there are more photos of Britt but I'm low key busy packing to travel the next couple of months and don't remember where I put them.
In Dallas, we finished up production on Ballelujah over the weekend! Shout out to the team, trainees, and partners. I'll be blasting them until our showcase on June 13th! Which you should totally come to, dear reader!
I'm turning 32 soon; I have sporadic thoughts.
-I finally feel confident in documenting my family and friends. I found a groove to share these moments, and even a couple of friends that take good photos of me, back.
-I'm feeling loved, and excited to connect with family in Recife next week. It's been a few years since I was last in Brazil, and I appreciate my family in the states encouraging us to go.
-I'm road tripping to the PNW later this month, so send me your recs!
-There's like, more love out there(?) to give and recieve. It's Weird (great, amazing, wonderful, awfully a lot)
-aye, some things I can't say here are awesome too, challenges abound! I'm lucky to be put into a vulnerable, creative, and wonderful space.

From this past season, friends, lovers, trips, lots of tears -- I think the gate on my super 8 is damaged so some stills got messed up, or the exposure meter isn't reading the whole scene. I'll be trying out manual exposure and learning how to use a meter finally

Yo! In case you didn’t see, I'm working on a couple of projects the first half of this year. I’m beyond blessed and feel immeasurably lucky to work on creative endeavors, putting together productions, and helping to open the door to filmmaking for others. A lot of what you’re seeing now is a product of meetings and applications from this past year. To then be a part of not one but TWO different teams to receive AFS and Arts Activate is surreal.
We’re currently taking donations and casting for THREE DOLLAR BET, and taking applications for trainees on BALLELUJAH. There’s a link in my bio to find out more and apply to things.

CLOSED. I’ve been awarded a grant from the City of Dallas to produce my next short film: Ballelujah AND launch a brand-new shadowing program that puts underserved Dallas talent directly onto a working film set. What a way to celebrate my birthday!
We’re taking a full crew of industry professionals and integrating shadow opportunities, giving Dallas creatives real, hands-on experience from pre-production to post.
