I can't believe I was at Wembley on Saturday to watch Crystal Palace win the FA Cup. It's a dream come true. I wrote about the moments in and around the game that became memories for a lifetime. Link in bio, stories, highlights, etc.
One week of the West Coast Best Coast life in April.
(I had as much fun meeting Rex the Shih Tzu as I did my favorite author at the moment and fellow Florida Gator, Rachel Khong. Dogs are the best.)
I spent a long weekend in Toronto, caught three days of the inaugural @rockleaguecurl season, and wrote about watching the first ever pro curling league come to life. (These athletes built amazing team cultures in just a week of play.) Link in bio, Stories, and highlights.
Last weekend in Upstate, a lovely time with @take_it_slowbro and Mal, plus the 7 hours on I-90 just to get there. I wrote about the road trip on I-90 and all the history lurking along the highway. Link in bio, Stories, Highlights.
1-10: I had been trying to get to a game in Coventry for a few years now. Timing finally worked out this year, a day after I learned the famed author George Eliot is from Coventry; when Coventry City are marching to promotion to the Premier League; and I could reunite with an old friend who moved there.
11-20: The timing didn't work to watch a game at Lille when I first visited the northern French city in February 2020. This year, I finally made my return to Lille for my first taste of French football and re-appreciate the French who switched to English when they heard my broken, basic French.
20 pictures for 11 days in London doesn't even begin to scratch the surface of all the wonderful people, food, culture, and moments in this city that imprint themselves on me and challenge me to take another step forward as a person. Always grateful.
I wrote about the annual AKC Meet the Breeds event I attended last Saturday, where I spent 4.5 hours smiling at, petting, and taking photos of the happiest and most pampered dogs in the country. More photos of the cheerful crew of canines I met that morning are in the post. Link in bio, stories, highlights, etc.!
Marathon Weekend continues to be undefeated as the best days to be in New York City. This year's edition was extra special in getting to cheer on my friends and now-marathon finishers @alicia_esteban , @kayleypak , and Jason from my volunteer perch on the finish line, as well as a couple journalists whose work I admire and who ran the race this year. A whole city pulling for 55,000 runners who gave it their all over 26.2 miles and 5 boroughs yesterday, and spending time with friends before and after the race -- what more could you ask for in a weekend?
