a year ago today i opened my first booth shop in orange county-my hometown. the plan was simple: have one analog vintage photobooth where people could stop by to take photos. the wait times ended up being so long that i brought in a second booth, thinking it would help. but as the year went on, more and more of you kept showing up—bringing friends, family, pets, taking grad photos, celebrating birthdays, and so much more. today we have 8 photobooths, which has helped reduce the wait times to as little as 15 minutes compared to the 45+ minutes when we first opened. i had no idea it would get this much love. i kept thinking, “at some point it’ll die down, right?” but it’s only continued to grow, and i’m beyond grateful.
there’s so much that goes on behind the scenes to keep these booths running, and my staff and friends have been there every time something goes wrong, making sure that by the time we open the doors the next morning, everything’s working perfectly for everyone who visits. none of this would be possible without their help.
so much has changed at my shop, and i’m proud to share that starting next month we’ll be doubling the size of our space and bringing back the digital scanning service—so you can get a scan of your photostrips sent to your phone for $2 per strip.
