He is a co-founder of the Melomaniacs collective and is closely involved with Downtown Retro, a venue dedicated to vintage records, coffee, and carefully selected live DJ sessions. His musical approach draws from soul, funk, disco, jazz influences and house. He focuses on groove, sonic texture, and musical depth, delivering sets that reflect a genuine passion for record digging and selector culture. Sean has performed at Café 1001 in London, Kiosk Radio in Brussels, and various intimate club and radio settings across the UK and Europe. Through Melomaniacs he contributes to live streams on Mixcloud and collaborative events that prioritize quality selections and the listening experience. Still thinking about our Luul Supper Club last week. 26 women around one table in the coolest little restaurant, everyone turning up looking gorgeous and the energy was just unreal. The kind of night where you laugh loudly, talk properly, and leave feeling lighter than when you arrived. This might be my favourite thing Luul has ever started. Sat 11th April Hi-Fi listening bar 8pm | 1am DJ TUNESMITH @dj_tunesmith is a Hackney-based DJ/Producer who has musical blood coursing through her veins. Her father was in a 1960s reggae doo-wop group called The Marvels. DJ Tunesmith has been playing out to highly receptive crowds in venues including The Hospital Club, The Groucho Club, Ronnie Scott’s, The Standard Hotel, The BFI, The Book Club as well as Mojo Club and Le Fonque in Hamburg. She has also DJed at Southern Soul Festival in Montenegro and and resident DJ at the Craig Charles’ Funk and Soul Summer Series at Brixton Jamm. She plays a strictly vinyl set and you’ll hear groove-laden beats encompassing funk, hip hop, jazz, soul, disco, broken beat and boogie. DJ Tunesmith is a key influencer and tastemaker on social media providing a platform for new and exciting sounds. Music she recommends, people buy. DJ Tunesmith is a founder member of the Eves’Drop Collective who played at The Sanctuary at We Out Here Festival in Cambridgeshire in summer 2021 and 2022.
