As we wrap up another incredible year at Eakin, we want to send a HUGE thank you to all of our amazing community partners 💙 From sponsorships and donations to showing up at events and cheering us on, your impact reached far beyond the classroom.
Eakin is stronger because of this community, and we are so grateful for every business, family, and supporter who helped our Eagles SOAR this year 🦅
Thank you for believing in Eakin!
What an incredible night at the 16th annual ‘Tails in the Trails fundraiser last Friday! 🦖✨
This year’s event helped support Carlito, our giant anteater, and brought together an incredible community for a night filled with tasty food, great drinks, dinosaurs, ambassadors animal, a lively auction and unforgettable memories. 🍸🥂
Thank you to everyone who came out and supported this special event, and a huge thank you to our Junior Board, 12 vendors, volunteers, our sponsor Land Rover Birmingham, and the staff who worked behind the scenes to make this amazing night possible. Your support, generosity, and hard work helped make this fundraiser such a success and we truly couldn’t do it without you! 💛🦕
The local's guide to patio season in Knoxville (you know, that sacred week between cold fronts). When the temps finally hit 60 in East Tennessee, every Knoxvillian I know is suddenly outside with a mimosa in hand. These are the patios I send my clients (and out-of-town friends) to all spring and summer long.
Save this for your next "where should we go?" group chat. 📌

If you're new to Knoxville (or thinking about making the move), I'd love to help you find your place here. I'm Nicole Workman, your local real estate advisor, and patio season is honestly one of the best reasons to call this city home. 🏡🧡

Allow me to plan your perfect morning in Franklin, TN. Save this for your next visit, your next staycation, or the next time your in laws come to town.
The version of Franklin TN I love most is the one most visitors miss. Not the busy weekend afternoon on Main Street. Not the festival Saturday. The slow Tennessee morning, before the shops open, when downtown is quiet and the light is soft and the coffee is the best part of your day. Here is exactly how I would plan it for you.
Start at Honest Coffee Roasters. Order whatever sounds best, sit by the window, take your time. Then walk down Main Street before any of the shops are open. The light hits the historic facades differently at 8 AM than it does at noon, and you will see why people fall in love with Franklin from this angle first.
When the bookstore opens, head to Landmark Booksellers. Buy something. Anything. The kind of bookstore where the staff knows what to recommend after thirty seconds of conversation. Then drive over to Pinkerton Park and walk the trail along the Harpeth River. Bring a coffee refill. The trees in May make this walk something you will think about months later.
Wrap with brunch at Ruby Sunshine. Pull up a chair. Pour the mimosa. Brunch like you mean it.
If you are visiting Franklin TN this spring, planning a relocation trip from California, Illinois, or New York, or you live here and have not done a slow Saturday in a while, save this. Plan one morning around it. The version of Franklin you experience this way is the version that keeps people in Williamson County.

some of my favorite bites in new orleans! gluten can hide in some of the roux-based dishes like jambalaya and gumbo, but overall most restaurants and candy or praline shops were accommodating and had clearly marked menus or well-informed staff. when traveling i always like to use the @findmeglutenfree app for gluten free safe options and recommendations! #nola #neworleans #glutenfreetravel #seafood #louisiana
Proof that Five Points is way more than just a night out.
From coffee runs and vinyl digging to murals, matcha, burgers, vintage finds, pinball, plants, and Gamecock gear. There’s a whole side of the district worth exploring during the day.
How many squares can you check off?
✔️ Get 5 in a row = local legend status
✔️ Blackout board = you practically live here
