Why exactly is all this necessary? We caught up with fellow Brummie @femi_sorry , @jupiterbaal , @chilledasad (CEO of @friends_earth ), @attilathestockbroker and fellow protesters at Saturday’s @togetheralliance / #houseagainsthate march to find out what it meant to them.
The message was clear. Hundreds of thousands of us are prepared to bring down #fascism and stand together against #racism.
Share your favourite colour! Today is the LAST DAY you can register to vote in the 7th May local election. Don’t let racists win.

Real Brummies respond to #NigelFarage’s statement that “Birmingham is broken”.
He has said that @thereformpartyuk will throw everything they’ve got at Birmingham in the 7th May local elections.
But he’s not giving Brummies enough credit…
In #Birmingham, we look out for each other. Always have.
We’re strongest when we stand up for one another, across race, identity and lived experience. We stand against homophobia, biphobia and transphobia. No exceptions.
“Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.”

#RyanBridge of Raise the Colours has been arrested at #UnitetheKingdom rally in #London on suspicion of Grievous Bodily Harm linked to a hit and run incident in #Stirchley this week.
Sign the petition to end their display of flags in our city at the 🔗 in our bio.
Raise the Colours were in #Stirchley on Thursday night harassing residents who were removing flags RTC had put up earlier that day. One man was left with a broken leg requiring surgery after a van struck him and fled the scene.
Most of this footage is Raise The Colours’ own, taken from their livestream.
We are once again calling for the RTC flags to be removed and for accountability over the harassment / intimidation and assault of local people. Sign the petition at the link in bio.
Enough is enough.

Reform has “peaked” bab - but their voice feels louder than ever: through flags, through racist bots, through emboldened aggressors in our streets.
That’s exactly why communities like ours matter now more than ever. We are growing and here to give a voice to those who believe in equality. We must continue to speak up 📢
Four @thereformpartyuk candidates exposed for racism in just ONE WEEK since the local elections. And yet, supporters still claim Reform is not a racist party? 🧐
Make it make sense.
Brummies United Against Racism & Hate Crime calls on councillors across the political spectrum to unify against racism and hate after the results of the Birmingham City Council showed no overall control, albeit with Reform gains. #Reform gains mean residents may be worried about how this will impact them. We vow to double our efforts to bring people together and protect their rights - and we urge you to join us. We will hold the council to account for any decisions that may harm our proudly diverse, multicultural city. We will work with councillors of all parties to ensure an inclusive, safe, and welcoming environment for all citizens, regardless of culture, race, or religion. Now more than ever, #Birmingham residents must stand together for a fairer city. Brummies United Against Racism and Hate Crime remains determined to make that happen.

The #polls show a big uplift for #Reform in #Birmingham after today’s local #elections. Don’t hand them a win by staying home - your vote could make the difference.
And don’t forget your ID when you head to the polling station!
Remember what happened last time #NigelFarage’s campaign was built on blaming #migrants?
He has repeatedly failed his followers over and over again.
Don’t vote for #racists Bab.
