My partner and I made our way to Sin Ming Industrial Estate to check out Western at Sin Ming — and it was so worth it! 💯 The western food here is not only super delicious but also really reasonably priced. Definitely a hidden gem worth visiting! 🍴✨ #WesternAtSinMing #HiddenGemSG #WesternFoodSG #FoodieFinds #sgfoodie

All my life, I honest thought these red bananas were mainly for prayers or offerings, especially in Hindu, Taoist, or Buddhist traditions. I never really thought about eating them until recently, when I came across an article saying they’re actually quite rare in Singapore and known for being very sweet. Today while I was in Clementi for work, I passed by a fruit shop and spotted just one last bunch sitting there. That was the only bunch they had — and somehow it felt like I was meant to try it so I bought it for $3.40. Honestly, money well spent. The texture is softer and creamier than normal bananas, and the taste is much sweeter too. There’s almost a slight berry-like flavour to it, and it feels richer and more fragrant compared to the usual yellow bananas we eat. Definitely one of those “don’t judge by appearance” moments for me. So if you ever come across Red Dacca bananas in Singapore, give them a try for yourself. You might be surprised like I was. #RedDaccaBanana #SingaporeFinds #FruitAdventure #FoodDiscovery #supportlocalfruitstands

First night in Taiwan and we headed straight into the night market for a bowl of famous taro balls. Soft, chewy, refreshing, and perfect after walking through all the food stalls. The texture of the taro balls was so satisfying, especially with the cold dessert base. Definitely one of the best ways to start our Taiwan food adventure. #TaiwanNightMarket #TaroBalls #TaiwanFood #NightMarketEats #foodieadventure

Yesterday I came back home after being soaked wet for the good part of the day. All I wanted was to get home and sleep. While I was waiting at a traffic light, an auntie locked eyes with me. In a very soft voice, she asked me — "Sir... can you give me one dollar?" But in her hand, she was holding a cake. So I asked her — "Auntie, you got things to eat already what." She said, "Oh... someone bought this for me." That stopped me. I asked her — "Are you hungry? You want to eat?" She nodded. I said, "Come. Let me buy food for you." She pointed to Al Makan. I told her — order whatever you want. She ordered sambal fried rice with chicken. And a blue lagoon with longan. After I paid, I told her to enjoy her food. I said, "Auntie, I'm very tired, I need to go." And I walked home. Some people have asked me before, in situations like this — "How do you know she's not pulling a fast one on you?" And honestly? I don't. But I would rather someone pull a fast one on me... than miss an opportunity to help. That meal didn't cost me much. But my belief is this — whatever I have is not mine. It's a blessing from God. Hebrews 13:2 says — "Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers, for by so doing some people have shown hospitality to angels without knowing it." Maybe she was just hungry. Or maybe she was something more. Either way — I have no regrets. #KindnessMatters #PayItForward #FaithInAction #SGCommunity #EntertainingAngels

CANBERRA NO CLEANERS DAY Today, we brought our Canberra cleaners out for a little appreciation day, a Give Back event at Rainforest Wild Asia but the skies had other plans. It rained, and it didn't just drizzle. We got soaking wet. We didn't manage to catch all the attractions but you know what? Nobody complained. Nobody left early. We made the most of what we had together and at the end of it all? Still a happy day because sometimes it's not about perfect conditions. It's about the people you're with. To all the Canberra cleaners — thank you for what you do every day. Today was for you. Rain and all. #CanberraCleaners #GiveBackSG #MandaiWildlife #RainOrShine #AppreciationDay

Today, once again, we came together at 299B to celebrate the birthdays of our residents born in the month of May. 🎂 It was a wonderful morning filled with laughter, delicious food, and meaningful moments shared within the community. Truly happy and grateful to be part of such a warm and joyful celebration. A big shoutout and heartfelt thank you to Swee Heng Bakrry for generously sponsoring the birthday cake and 20 loaves of wheat bread for the residents. The cake was absolutely delicious, and the thoughtful contribution was deeply appreciated by everyone. ❤️ #CommunityCelebration #BirthdayCelebration #TampinesChangkat #ilovetampines #SweeHengBakery

Today is Singapore’s 3rd Drug Victims Remembrance Day — a day to honour not just those who struggled with addiction, but the families and loved ones who bore the silent weight of it all. Because drug abuse is never just one person’s story. 📍 Suntec City, Level 1 Atrium (Convention Centre) | 15–17 May, 10am–9.30pm (Cnb) #DrugVictimsRemembranceDay #StoriesUnfinished #DrugFreeSG #RememberTheVictims #CNBSingapore

Drug Victims Remembrance Day | 3rd Year Today marks the third Drug Victims Remembrance Day — and it’s a day that hits close to home for me. Drug abuse is never a solo story. Yes, I was the one who made the choices. But the weight of those choices? That was carried by the people who loved me most — my mum, my family, the ones who stayed up worrying, who cried in private, who didn’t know what to say but never left. That’s the truth about drugs that doesn’t always get told: the abuser isn’t the only victim. The ripple goes wide — into homes, into relationships, into the hearts of innocent people who did nothing wrong except love someone who was lost. On this day, I remember them. I honour them. And I carry their sacrifice with me every time I stand in front of a young person and say — this is not worth it. To every family out there walking this road: you are seen. Your pain is real. And you deserve so much more than to be a silent casualty of someone else’s choices. Choose differently. For yourself — and for the ones who love you. #DrugVictimsRemembranceDay #DrugFreeSG #NotJustOneVictim #BreakTheCycle
